I don't like the idea of rolling a freshman out there week 1 against ND. Bring in a proven guy and if Nickel is that good and beats him out then more power to him
When somebody better than him walks on campus, we can have that talk. Until then he’s the best we got.

coming around to someone like Drones behind this OL. Run game would be unstoppable.

Talked to some VT fans and they really wouldn’t be surprised if this freshman has a good game tonight they might want to move to him. Tricky because Pry is on the hot seat

The Canes completed their starting OL with the commitment of TCU C James Brockermeyer. The high-IQ, 6’3.5, 300-pounder has played 931 collegiate snaps on both offense and special teams.

Coach Mirabal hopes to hit on his third center transfer in a row after the successful tenures of Matt Lee and Zach Carpenter.

Brockermeyer initially signed with Alabama as ESPN’s #1-rated center in America. After receiving limited playing time, he transferred to TCU where he became the full-time starter and earned Honorable Mention All Big-12 honors.

Brockermeyer comes from a family of OL, as his brother played for Alabama and his father played 9 years in the NFL after starring for the Texas Longhorns.

The Canes beat out USC and Florida State for Brockermeyer’s commitment. CanesInSight was first to report Miami’s interest in Brockermeyer.
