There's something about Mario that turns aloooooot of ppl off. You see it with Fran Brown, some of the whispers about boosters being fed up with him, Venables taking shots out of nowhere, his exit from FIU.

I'm not saying that as a good or bad thing. It's just very apparent alot of grown folks do not fw him for whatever reason.
Mario takes shots at people, too. He's a big boy.

The only issue is the source. Lombardi is a bum. He does the same thing in the media. Makes fun of everyone in a league that wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot pole.

As we all know by now, Bill Belichick is now the head coach at North Carolina. On Friday, new North Carolina GM and former Oakland Raiders GM joined Christopher Russo for his weekly segment on Sirius radio. Lombardi wasted no time taking a shot at the Miami Hurricanes head coach, Mario Cristobal.

Lombardi was asked by Russo to give a rundown of the responsibilities with his new job title. While providing the description of various responsibilities, Lombardi said:

“That job will entail player evaluations, developing a grading system, building a team around what you want to become. That’s so important, you know. In college you have all these first round picks. Well, you still got to build a team. I mean, Mario Cristobal has been wonderful in recruiting, but they haven’t been able to get to the final 12. You got to build a full team, it’s not about winning the recruiting battle. It’s about making the team the best it can be. So, for me that’s the job.”

Lol that guy has been a failure everywhere And lives off his last name.

He'll find out CFB is exactly about winning recruiting battles.
The reason it's easy to sell someone like Can Ward to come here is because of look at the assembled talent.

In CFB kids choose you, in the NFL the team chooses you. Different animal, good luck Lombardont.

They all hate miami. Mario could go undefeated for 5 straight years and they would fine something to criticize.
You know as well as I do people outside our fan base (and some days our own fan base). Do not want this sleeping giant to get things truly rolling.

Everyone is hoping this was Mario’s best shot and he blew it.

I hope we the next time we get unc we destroy them and Mario Roman Helmets this guy at midfield.

Yeah, it is weird.

I mean, the ppl you're talking about wanna be where Mario is.
You don't hear, Sarkisian, Saban, Kirby Smart, Swinney, Harbaugh, the highly successful coaches talk junk.
The boosters, that's a different story, cause I have no idea, why.

People jealous of other peoples success often attack those ppl, while successful ppl just shut up and keep working and successful modestly.

The shot would be fine from someone else, but Lombardi is a failure and pariah. The only thing keeping him relevant is his grandfather's name and his friendship with Belichick. For the last decade, he's been exiled to podcasts where he makes bitter rants and runs off co-hosts.

One of the reasons Belichick has been a disaster without Brady is because he keeps around flunkies like this fat idiot.
You have to forgive the board that is the monster you created @DMoney . Way too many people have their panties in a bunch because Miami hasn’t announced any signings in the portal so of course that means that Mario is going to fail because everyone we are missing out on is the only option we could possibly have. It doesn’t matter that kids still have multiple days left to enter the portal and the top 12 teams have weeks to do so so it’s not possible that their agents are advocating for them behind the scenes for once they decide to leave after their game.

Yeah, the Mario/Miami hate is real. Have to think Mario’s super aggressive, tough guy approach rubs some the wrong way. Hope Mario is taking names and extracting revenge from these clowns.

Lombardi is an overrated nepo executive with friends in high places who also looks like Chris Christie and he has the nerve to take shots 🤣 but I know a segment of CIS will eat up all his comments

I've noticed the portal is different this year from the last few. It has become more like HS recruiting. Before whoever got the first or second visit was the winner now kids are taking more visits.
