I’ve always thought he’s a respected coach. From a technical sense. Comes from a good tree.

My thoughts on him as a recruiter weren’t good last cycle and he was hired late but it was a brief period and it’s NIL era. Much different results this year in a full cycle but I didn’t follow it closely.

Well, isn’t that what we need - a guy who coaches well rather than a monster crooter? I mean being a good recruiter is a must but it’s not as essential as before NIL

From a coaching staff perspective; especially with a totally revamped defensive staff, "ON PAPER" this is one of the better staffs UM has had (top to bottom) in a longggggg time!

Filled with teachers and recruiters...

Add in the infusion of secondary talent and possibilities of Spring portal window to add a few more pieces; I'm excited for this upcoming season tbh.

After defeating the Gators 41-17 in August, the Miami Hurricanes have secured another victory over their rival by landing DB coach Will Harris.

The 36-year-old Harris, who will lead the safety room at Miami, is considered one of the best young defensive backs coaches in America.

Harris joined the Gators for the 2024 season after serving as the assistant DB coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. The Gators improved +63 spots in pass efficiency defense and +83 spots in interceptions per game under Harris.

Before his stint in the NFL, Harris spent one season as defensive coordinator at Georgia Southern. He previously coached eight NFL Draft picks at the University of Washington.

Regarding staffing, Mario, Lincoln Riley and Sherrone Moore have done excellent jobs this offseason. Don't be surprised if these 3 coaches dominate the sport in the coming years. I don't just say this to be saying this but Mario is making "Saban-esque" moves in recruiting and staffing.

Well, our defensive side of the ball just threw it into 5th gear. Love it. Very nice revamp, Mario, now let's win the games we are supposed to, and we will be fine. Stop losing the stupid games and dominate those games. Go Canes!!
