If Chase Smith Reaches his potential this year, that would be huge for us, another edge rusher/blitzing backer with great athleticism. He was actually my favorite prospect from that 2021 class. I thought that he was a better athlete than JW
He was. @nycane can verify my thoughts. Torn ACL took 2 seasons from him. He looks the part now and is BACK. Huge year upcoming. We are a good 5 deep at LB and young guys coming too.

Again Respect for the
Bruh I was watching video breakdown on Aaron Murray’s channel earlier and he highlighted a play where Restrepo went out wide and immediately pointed frantically that his corner was blitzing and sure enough easy pitch and catch. It wasn’t just the offense. The most prepared Miami team I’ve watched in some time.
coaches, Dawson and Mario especially for taking the training wheels off of the players, BUT **** those players finally feeling free and confident!!!

100% on the Guidry bandwagon. I think he understands the game and how it’s evolved recently. His defense and his calls reflect that. Love him talking about “clean eyes”…our guys are coached and coached smart by a cutting edge D-Coordinator. He also knows what kinda of talent he needs to run his system and be successful. How Mario upgraded the staff is really the most impressive things he's done.

Go Canes!
He runs multiple defenses, 4-3, 3-4, 3-3-5, 4-2-5, 5-2, very flexible defense that can match any offense, I love it

So many people were killing Jaden Harris on the long run, but I really thought when watching the game that Wes should have set the edge and been on the O-lineman’s outside shoulder. Maybe Jaden could have jumped outside after seeing the mistake but I think that was more on Wes.
Harris's issue wasn't his initial position or read (which is where Wes messed up), it was that after the RB already had the ball and was running laterally behind the line, he took a step inside to help but he was the last line of defense on the outside because everyone else was already inside. So as soon as the RB bounced it outside it was over. It was a natural reaction to get in on the tackle where he thought the back would be but it left the entire edge open.
