“Florida, we took their five to top seven plays that showed up in every game, a reverse, the crossing routes, tailback screen and just certain things. Within the first 10 plays, probably four or five of them showed up.”

Predictable much?

If Chase Smith Reaches his potential this year, that would be huge for us, another edge rusher/blitzing backer with great athleticism. He was actually my favorite prospect from that 2021 class. I thought that he was a better athlete than JW

He's got one more year to play, too. So when Kiko and Alderman are gone, Wes or Chase, or both, could still come back. No need to go to the portal for an LB if that happens.

100% on the Guidry bandwagon. I think he understands the game and how it’s evolved recently. His defense and his calls reflect that. Love him talking about “clean eyes”…our guys are coached and coached smart by a cutting edge D-Coordinator. He also knows what kinda of talent he needs to run his system and be successful. How Mario upgraded the staff is really the most impressive things he's done.

Go Canes!

Chase Smith's comeback story is awesome. He easily could've bolted to the portal throughout all his injuries and setbacks, but he stuck it out and now he's reaping the benefits. He's huge, physical, fast, and has an eye for the ball. His emergence and development makes me even more excited about this LB room.

Legit stacked LB room. I would say are back-up linebackers are all more physically gifted than Kiko, Alderman, and Wes B.

If they can get the knowledge wrapped around the young bucks next year we definitely don’t need a portal transfer unless he is a beast just frothing at the mouth to join UM. In today’s game you can not turn down Guaranteed production if his mind is completely committed to a championship.

I can not praise Guildry enough. He made chicken salad out of chicken **** last year. Where did our “star” players go in the draft? I told Everyone Mario went to the admin and board. He told them what this team needed and showed them how he can improve himself. The rest is history.

I want all the receipts from you lazy amateur analysts that still claim Mario is a Corch. His biggest statement was, “Now we are playing Miami football “. There was no “PHYZICAL “ football. The lines were physical, but there was no letting off the gas, no problem trusting your QB, the defense was impeccable aside from that one stupid run. We didn’t continually run into dust.

The one thing I would like is more variety in the running game. Too much zone read on the inside. Dawson’s passing routes were a lot more complex, but the run game lacked some creativity.

Great performance by the players and coaches.

I know I’m not alone when I thought it was a DE at first that batted that pass down

You know that coaching staff's in over their head when stuff like this happens. The opposing team looked at your game film, noticed a trend of the same plays showing up each game without fail, and prepared for it accordingly. You'd imagine a more competent staff would have things for game 1 that the other team isn't ready for, and if you're gonna script plays, don't use the same ones you keep using over and over! lol, what a beautiful week it's been!

Bruh I was watching video breakdown on Aaron Murray’s channel earlier and he highlighted a play where Restrepo went out wide and immediately pointed frantically that his corner was blitzing and sure enough easy pitch and catch. It wasn’t just the offense. The most prepared Miami team I’ve watched in some time.

Excellent job of self scouting by whatever idiot analysts they have on staff.

Two more years, no?

We're getting this kind of knowledge, preparation, and analysis, but we used to have Stanford's current "inside linebackers coach" running things.

So many people were killing Jaden Harris on the long run, but I really thought when watching the game that Wes should have set the edge and been on the O-lineman’s outside shoulder. Maybe Jaden could have jumped outside after seeing the mistake but I think that was more on Wes.
