Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think James Williams is physical enough to be effective at LB. Sure, the size is there, but the dog isn't based on what we've seen the last two years.
Think I will just hit the ignore button on this cat. Later!!!

My guess is Popo and/or Bryant are taking snaps from Keontra by mid season. Keontra just looks lost every time he is on the field so unless something finally clicks for him I see his role diminishing as the season progresses.

Chase Smith is still injured I believe and hasn’t played a meaningful snap in years. I don’t count on him. So after Flagg there are still a ton of question marks.
What is the nature of Chase Smiths injury? Poor kid has been constantly hurt since he got here. [BGCOLOR=initial]Completely agree regarding Keontra being overtaken by Popo/Bryant.[/BGCOLOR]

Zzzzzzzz

No one can view practice to give a real report but we get these scripted talking points from players and coaches that rave about everyone on the team. Same thing happened last year...everyone was great and working hard. Then 75% of them quit.

This is just typical coach/player speak that means absolutely nothing.
This team is NOT going to QUIT!!! The upperclassmen are not going to allow it & the youngsters ABSOLUTELY will not allow this to happen! This isn’t *****’s team anymore!

Not sure haven’t kept up with him since he hasn’t played or done anything since getting on campus

If that's the case (and it is), then shouldn't they be taking snaps by the 3rd quarter of game 1?

Maybe some of us are just tired of any time you mention a shred of positivity on here 75% of the ****** board (or maybe it's just simply seems that way because it's so redundant) they turn everything negative. It's complain about this that that that. Holy Jesus there's some miserable people on here. Ever think about that? Maybe it's not ruffling feathers or not, and it's just were tired of all the redundant negative nonsense.

He’ll be in the rotation by the middle of the season.

Hard worker, fast learner, and plus athlete!

I expect all the true freshmen to get their kicks. Not sure who will be the best but you’re probably right that Popo is most developed so leads the pack.

Best part about all this is what it does to push the upperclassmen like Keontra, JW and Chase Smith. Keontra in specific looked slower and softer last year and I hope/believe he’s corrected that now. But if he hasn’t, he knows his job is up for grabs.

Love the way Popo plays ball. Smart, good instincts & sure tackler that just drills opponents. Could be another in a long line of greats to have played LB at the U. Will be rooting hard for him to ball out.
