I’d have to imagine he has already taken some nil money from Miami and he already owes LSU. It doesn’t sound like he has choice if he wants to play this season or to pay LSU back. I can’t see Miami kicking him off the team. I also have no idea what’s driving this but the owing money to LSU rumor sounds accurate. I’m withholding judgement… these kids need reps that understand the rules and the implications of enrolling and taking money.

We seem cursed, always have dumb **** like this happen to us !

I think we are just follow Miami more than other schools. There has to be dumb crap like this going on at other places. (But I dunno -its still seems stupid)

There will eventually be players changing teams in the middle of a game. They'll get a call from their agent saying the opponent offered a bigger NIL and you'll see them walk across the field and change uniforms.
The argument for players being able to move when they want is because coaches can. They need to start putting buyout clauses in their deals if they leave too.

Don't understand the JHH tears. He's serviceable-pretty good. Ended up at Ohio St., UGA? No..oh, ok.

IF we lose Barrow, there are several who situationally can take on the upfield, penetrator role (Cook, Horton, Campbell(?),DE's). On a down-in, down-out basis, however, this in all likelihood would be a loss.

I'll say this - the incoming freshman Jones is a grown-*** man, ala Cooper when he came in, but without so much excess weight. Maybe Scott contributes or Moten takes the next step in year 3. Or the whispers about Campbell's potential are true. Yes, probably a net loss, but equally an opportunity for someone to step up. Next man.

Per Gabby:
Should Missouri get the “tough luck” response in their argument that I highlighted and Barrow elected to leave on his own and walk-on at Missouri, I think there would be a chance that he is ineligible next season. My understanding is that because he’s received aid, the only way he could leave and be eligible elsewhere this season is if Miami dismisses him from the team. Again, that’s assuming that the argument sides with Miami that he’s been matriculated longer than what it appeared in portal database or whatever it is that shows status.

Good I hope it ***** him over and can’t play if he leaves.

If I had to guess with the push for Canes Connection, probably has to do for with OV starting this weekend.
Yep and baseball is getting active in NIL as well with that transfer window about to open up. In the past I dont believe they participated that much.

If Barrow has started classes, and is allowed to leave the team and walk on to another team and be eligible this season.

The only deduction I make from that, is that every single fckin player in college football is back on the table.

So take his NIL and start backchannelling again bc that means there is no restrictions. Go get me a DT.

Straight up nasty work lol

It's very simple then.

Set aside $3M per year to pay the tuition for 30 "walk-ons" (for "depth", of course)...
