My issues with Russell are exactly what @skyman stated. Motor as a DT is questionable. He also doesn’t have his hand in the ground a ton and even is standing straight up at snaps(questionable fitness which speaks to approach to game year round). He plays rush end but will never be a rush end here. Can he translate from stand up rush end to 5T or 3T?

That’s why we need good teachers in the coaching ranks. A good DL coach can teach him what he needs to fit in the system. Maybe he can be similar to Gore.

You can’t teach motivation. Either someone is willing to workout all year, do extra reps, do extra film study, or they aren’t. Maybe he finds motivation by being surrounded by other kids that out work him daily but the risk is also that he lowers the floor of the room. There is no doubt he has talent. I just don’t know if it will translate.

I couldn't give much of a flying flamingo tbh, yes we can ***** about the lack of quality at the DT spot, but we're getting someone with the blessing of a DC who just held Palmetto to nine points.

Like, be happy every once in a while.
Oh I agree but this poster is widely known to sh*t on anything positive and be missing in action when we're doing good. 🤷‍♂️

I respect it, I’m just not going to be satisfied with mediocrity.

And that goes for mediocre talent and mediocre results on the field. Now I got a tailgate to run back to cause for some reason, I still show up more than 90% of y’all despite living in the Northeast.

Go Canes

He is 6’1 270. IF he is a stand up DE then we are F’d. Lightfoot, Wayne, Kelly, McConathy are the standup rush ends. This kid is at best a 5T(Bain/Mesidor).

Well thats cool, but don't accuse users of behavior that hasn't occured. That's not satisfying anything, that's being a moron.
