DB Jaden Harris enters the Portal

The makeover of Miami's secondary continues, as starting safety Jaden Harris will be entering the transfer portal.

The 6', 195-pound redshirt sophomore from Atlanta had a rough season for Miami, grading at 56.6 on PFF with 15 missed tackles (25.9%) and a 57.2 coverage grade. Harris was originally recruited to Miami by Manny Diaz and Travaris Robinson as a CB, but switched to safety upon Defensive Coordinator Lance Guidry's arrival.

Both Harris and Guidry will be looking for new homes after their struggles in 2024.

For his career, Harris has made 47 tackles with 5 TFLs, 1.5 sacks and 1 INT. He was ACC Defensive Back of the Week after his performance against Florida

It always cracks me up you guys talking in absolutes. It's one thing to not end up with a starter. Another entirely for any of you all to make a claim that you know the people we spoke with. One individual alone, he follows through with his commitment it changes up things entirely. Not only for the end results for us, but also for the end results of another team currently in the playoffs.

The kid sucks *** at safety. As bad as Guidry was, no one possibly coached him to do the stupid **** he was doing.

They're borderline employees. Once they enroll, they're essentially minor league players. Personally, I wait post-freshman year to bash a kid. And yeah he was *** this year. There's nothing with saying he sucked and wishing him the best.

Ok great so our head coach who’s only real strength is recruiting spoke with a portal safety but didn’t land one. Much better.
