Compound fracture in the leg and you're never going to be the same player again. Period.

I'm aware of the repercussions and image it sends but you can't take the kid on a scholarship. Let them know it repercussions for the HC stupidity running a scrimmage before camp starts.

Take Lewis Cine for example. Most recent comparison in the NFL that I can remember. 1st round pick of the Vikings, stud at Georgia, ran a 4.37 at the combine and was like 99th percentile in the broad jump... compound fracture in London in October 2022. Made 1 tackle in all of 2023 and now going into his 3rd year he likely won't even be making the 53 man. Never will be the same guy. Wallace isn't near that caliber of athlete to begin with.

He's also 17 years old. Writing off a kid and saying all of that is incredibly shortsighted. You have zero idea how he'll respond to the surgery/rehab and where he'll be a year from now.

Haven't read about it at all but with new scholarship rules would he be a candidate to stash away for a few years?

U can’t drop him that could stop that pipeline from Central. U take him and if he isn’t the same he will probably transfer on his own
This. You take him and if he doesn’t get back to form. You process him out by recruiting over him. Mario has made it clear he’s not shy about sending kids to the portal. This way, you don’t lose face with Central and the community.

I mean that is probably in his favor and makes me less concerned if we do take him.

But you have to factor in he probably shouldn't even practice with contact until August 2026.
Can you really drop a Central kid because of the negligence of the adults around him? Readjust his NIL, sure. But you cant drop this kid. We took that Safety who tore his **** up like two years in a row.

Agreed, best hope now is that his fracture doesn't attract any infections pre- or post-surgery. But medicine has come a long way, avg. recovery is about 15 months.

However, Miami Central is going to be in some rough water now. Talk about ruining your schools reputation with stupid **** like that. I hope that kid has a decent lawyer at hand.
THIS COMING OFF THERE TEAM AND PARENTS HAVING A BRAWL WITH MNW AT TUTU ATWELL 7 ON 7 TOURNEY...

WHY THE **** ARE THEY SCRIMMAGING WITH A BROWARD TEAM AT THAT @Coach Macho.

I swear these dudes cant leave that park ball mentality of ..."scimmaging" ..."lets suit up against"...man go break down film with your kids ...do something else but most of em cant do that.

All they know is "bust em in the mouth" hence they are full pad scrimmaging less than a week before camp is supposed to start...just cause.

Shouldn't have taken him either. Multiple ACL surgeries.

That's what I'm saying.. we're getting close to running a nursing home.

This is what we need to ask you. Forget the injury for a moment. With 100 people or more in attendance it’s not like this would have remained a secret. So why is this scrimmage worth the risk, and what is the penalty for doing it?

They have an early schedule, first game to be played on 08/16 so perhaps they got a waiver or something similar to begin practice early?

Some Malcolm Lewis type ****. Terrible.

Find a way to work around the scholarship and honor the commitment from both sides and make it work

Zero chance we just tell the kid to kick rocks. Would be disgusting if we did anyway

they didnt have sh*t.

Its why they are mad at the kid that posted the article but it was gonna get out anyway since all the kids talk already an it worse that he was injured so it put a spotlight on em.,

Maybe the fhsaa fines them or something i guess.

the 8/16 game is the **** "scrimmage" "classic" they were trying to do to much.....
