You guys read every word from a 17 year old like its the end of the world.
I can’t see a a rational person making a decision about where to play in college for 4 years come down to a QB commit. Sure it’s nice to talk about like a big man in basketball wanting to play with a good point guard, but that is such a small piece of the overall puzzle.
There is also; coaching staff, location, academics, depth chart, and about 12 other things I can’t think of.
Relax on this young man. If that was the best review he can give UF after an OV, basically that they are firmly in 2nd place, then we are in good shape If he has at least 1 rational parent in his life.
Recruit over him. South Florida WR/DBs are the biggest bunch of recruiting clowns on the planet.Robinson took an OV to UF over the weekend. Here are some short clips from his interview with their 247 reporter:
Outside of Miami, the school to which he remains verbally committed, Robinson has the Gators next on his list of potential schools.
"I mean, there's other schools, one other school, but here and Miami is really just where I can see myself at," Robinson said, "if I'm being honest, yeah."
"This class is special, as you see right now. They've got a quarterback (DJ Lagway) commit as well. We could come in, work hard together, make something special happen," Robinson said. "So, it's just that as well."
It's given Robinson much to think about before he makes his final decision, and he anticipates returning to UF for an unofficial visit before the summer is in the books. First, however, he'll return to Miami for an official visit for the June 23rd weekend.
"It's definitely opened my mind up to new things, seeing new things," Robinson said. "I just really have to sit down and make a decision of where I want to truly play at. These are verbal commits, but, you know, I can say Miami's still a part of my home, and this could be home.
"Definitely I got to go home and talk to my parents on where I want to really, really be, as far as my situation, as far as quarterback situation, as far as schools."
Superstars?….Recruit over him. South Florida WR/DBs are the biggest bunch of recruiting clowns on the planet.
There's a myth out there that we miss on all these South FL superstars when in reality Ridley and Jeudy are the only "misses" of 4/5* guys in the last 10 years and if AR15 stayed healthy he'd have been better than all of the so-called misses combined.
Jimbo coached 3 first round quarterbacks at FSU and one while he was OC at LSU.How many first round QBs has Kirby had? Napier? Fisher? Don't let morons paint the narrative.
Harley is UM all time leader in receptions. He wasn’t a superstar but he was really productive.Superstars?….
Yes.
But we’ve missed out on dudes that are making plays on other teams and also getting drafted.
So while we fcked around and found out with Wiggins, Pope, and Harley, other schools got Zay, Schwartz, Hollywood Brown, Tutu, Moore,
Yeah I can’t disagree with anything you wrote. I was overreacting to some people’s overreactions of fear.Gotta show we have the right OC and in a perfect world a backup (Emory) shows on the field we've got a future at the position.
Showing the offense can produce is one thing, but then you've gotta build the class as well. @AtlAtty having a QB that will be throwing to you in the future is important. Sure, things can change, but these are teenagers who don't think too far down the road. They join a class and see it working out when in reality, things will look far different in two to three years. In particular with the portal involved.
I don't think any of those guys were 4/5*.Superstars?….
Yes.

I don't think any of those guys were 4/5*.
The majority of the 4/5* guys from South FL in the last 10 years never lived up to the hype
And did absolutely nothing to help him. He got drafted on his physical traits and his pocket presence - that offence was horrific to watch, they didn't scheme a thing up for him.Jimbo coached 3 first round quarterbacks at FSU and one while he was OC at LSU.
Napier coached Anthony Richardson last year
I’m saying I agree with missing out on the superstars.I don't think any of those guys were 4/5*.
The majority of the 4/5* guys from South FL in the last 10 years never lived up to the hype
Would you take him over the dudes i mentioned?Harley is UM all time leader in receptions. He wasn’t a superstar but he was really productive.
The question was “how many first round quarterbacks did they coach?” Not “how many guys did the turn into first round talent?”.And did absolutely nothing to help him. He got drafted on his physical traits and his pocket presence - that offence was horrific to watch, they didn't scheme a thing up for him.
He was way more productive than Anthony Schwartz was in college.Would you take him over the dudes i mentioned?

I was referring as a HC.Jimbo coached 3 first round quarterbacks at FSU and one while he was OC at LSU.
Napier coached Anthony Richardson last year
Jimbo was head coach for Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel at FSU as well is Jameis Winston.I was referring as a HC.
Jimbo 1
Mario 1
Napier 1
So why does Mario have this narrative?
Jimbo hadn't had a first round QB since 2014. Napier coached Richardson for 1 season. Mario was co-OC for Hebert then HC for 2 years. Only reason this narrative exists because Dorky Duck fans thought they should throw it more but they had a great OL and 1000 yard backs while having basically no talent at WR. I think Herbert still left Oregon 6th all time in PAC 12 career passing TDs.
