CB Tim Merritt commits to Miami

Miami landed one of the fastest risers in the South with the commitment of DB Tim Merritt (Birmingham, AL). The 6’1, 185 pounder, who also has a basketball background, chose Miami over Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee.

As first reported a month ago in The Bank, Merritt was identified as a major priority for the Canes. The staff values his IQ, length and twitchiness, which gives allows him to be a versatile piece in the backend. Merritt played safety as a junior and will play CB as a senior. Miami likes him at both but he will start as a CB.

Merritt is the 7th commitment in Miami’s class, joining QB Luke Nickel, RB Girard Pringle, TEs Brock Schott and Luka Gilbert, OG TK Muex and LB Elijah Melendez.

he had osu and Oregon hats on table like they knew who he was. Mario probably hasn't spoken to him, maybe ever lol.
Hes throwing a hat just like stubbs is talking smack because they are bitter they didnt benefit from bag game like others did. he will be in portal and at an fcs next year.
