I got you, so we’re basically taking a chance at developmental players, when we should be getting difference makers. I mean we just have to see how it plays out, it seems to me that we’re not trying to spend big $$$

Im just as anxious to see how it all plays out. And to be fair to the player, Lance just told us he sees a guy whose performance was significantly better than what PFF has him graded at. So maybe everything I said was wrong, too. I don’t know enough about DB play to judge. I was going off the “experts” and maybe they misjudged him. I guess we’ll know soon enough during Spring ball..

You're on a roll, my guy.

See, D$, this is what happens when you keep trying to normalize mediocrity.

I get it, but, this ain't a good look.
Even the maudes are looking at this like

It is basically D$’s GT not kneeling… that’s how bad a take it is

When's the last time we had a 6'3 corner?

Dean was 6'2 I remember, can't think of anyone else in the last decade that was even 6'2 other than him

Lance is a weird guy for you to go after. He might not be correct about this CB but there’s very little doubt he knows football.
Whatever. Let him come after me and try to convince me Lynn Kidd is good at basketball again.

(I’m just ******* around, to be clear)

dj ivey doing well in the pros after being slaughtered on here more than any other player (sans TVD) in the last decade is enough to make you take everything with a grain of salt
I don’t give two ***** if he’s good in the pros. He was a walking disaster here, and that’s all that matters. What good is DJ Ivey now to us? Maybe he’s receiving proper coaching, great. No one on this current staff is offering that.

The spin cycle is in full affect here, per usual when we take a developmental player. No one has said he’s good, they just say things like “big offers”, “potential”, “6’3’’ corner” and “DJ Ivey”

Every single clip is him getting roasted by mediocre WRs. Every PFF grade is dog *****. But sure, let’s focus on the positives.

Sunshine and rainbows.

Lol yes DJ Ivey is doing ok in the pros, but let’s not leave out the context, at Miami we tried to line him up and play mostly man, he’s not that type of corner, he plays mostly zone in the league and is used how he should be, more like a field safety. He went to a team that used him well in their system.

D$ is not the problem. The problem is the staff who has brings this mediocrity. They think they are the smartest guy’s in the room and you’re not a Cane if you don’t agree with them.
