Welcome to the U. This is definitely more of what his potential is and not what he has done on the field.

I always like to hear what that player's former fanbase thought about him and they were shocked to hear the hype on Karnley. These guys cover Arizona Wildcats, one is a beat writer for them. According to them he wasn't good and got benched. Go to 47:16 for the secondary talk. They weren't high on Tacario either who they say is overhyped. They love the QB btw and blame the coaching scheme.

You get this sh*t outta here right now!

It goes beyond booing- the stuff on social media and this forum was weirdly personal. People were frustrated with the program in general and took it out disproportionately on one player.

It was one of many factors that hurt his performance. Certainly not the only one. But why are we hurting instead of helping? What good does it do?

On top of that, many people were just flat wrong about the kid. They said he had no talent- bad feet, slow, FCS player, etc. Clearly he has talent, and all those people were wrong.
I agree with most of what you said. But you have to admit that being a fan is exactly what the word is derived from - being a FANATIC. Which can be tough for a player not performing well.

I do not believe there is a single poster here (other than the moles from other programs) that isn’t excited out of his/her mind to see Ivey playing well in the NFL - would I say some of the things other say, probably not, but did Ivey have some terrible performances as a Cane, yes he did, and at times I spoke about it - just like I did when TVD was stinking up the joint, when Jaden Harris was stinking up the joint this year (matter fact, if Harris starts next year and plays similar I’d argue that he’ll get it worse than Ivey because this season has been Michael Jackson BAD).

A+ ELITE

Potential 1st rounder & future HOF'er.
My apologies if I’m asking you to jump in the fire here my friend - before asking I tried searching for the kids name and your name but search came up empty - I figured you’d already spoke on this previously but when I couldn’t find, I had to ask.

I think you definitely answered the question though 🤣.

So sounds like we still need at least 1 more corner and possibly a safety

No.

He's Elite & that's all there is to it.

They said the man was getting toasted so bad towards the back half of the schedule that he was unplayable vs UCF.

I have no problem with this take being we got a plug and play guy in brantley. This kid is a ball of clay that teams feel they can mold. 3 years left and is a big cb and said to be fast and fluid. From what I saw he was cheeks and his pff grades was cheeks but I understand the long term play
Problem is I don’t trust this staff to develop any corner to an elite level. It’s like we are cursed

Reading this thread and knowing the absolutely undefeated track record of this place, I feel confident in saying this kid will be a high level starter for us at some point.
Other than the 2 MariBro CIS experts who told us DBs don't win or lose you football games, this place was spot on that the secondary was hot garbage and not adequately addressed

Again, not surprising. Arizona was...

106th in completion percentage
114th in yards per attempt
104th in pass TDs allowed
117th in QB rating

I've said this in another thread - i know these stats aren't only about the DBs bc the LBs cover and DL rush is important too, but c'mon now. If you had a few good DBs, you wouldn't be +100 across the board in EVERY category. E

For comparison, Miami was 24th in comp %, 37th in yards per attempt, 74th in passing TDs allowed, and 41st in QB rating.
