I heard this statement back in the summer from several folks - both on CiS and a couple pods. I heard DJ Pickett as being truly elite. I also heard Solomon Thomas would've been a 4 star in most other years. I'm not agreeing for copium's sake, but it makes sense.
Let's face it. Florida is attacking us right now. They're making their move as they should. You didn't think they'd take it lightly after the embarrassment in Gainesville and the players trolling their recruits? Miami is all they're thinking about right now.......
Now Mario has to counterpunch and come with a new strategy for next year. This team is as talented as any in the past 15 - 20 years. This year was a disappointment plain and simple. But if we beat their *** next year and get in the playoffs next year, then we can look back at this year and this group of seniors as the ones that moved the program forward.
Defense needs to get fixed, get a QB in the portal to compete and let's get after it.

we lost our two best Defensive commits at two big time position of need. we lost to Florida and Oregon

I’m not understanding how we aren’t so flat in recruiting and Florida is flipping everyone. Sure, they are using the buyout money, but we’ve been told all year we have one of the better collectives in the country. This is a bad look for a staff who’s strength is recruiting.
No way around it, Napier and the Gators checkmated Miami. I can’t be mad after all the bluster coming from the Miami side.

UF can sold future success with the way their season ended. LSU and Ole Miss wins, could’ve beat UGA and Tenn. Lagway is still there for at least 2 years.
We missed the playoffs and are losing the main reason we were in contention (Cam Ward) with nobody to replace him.
It’s an easy sell for UF, even more if they stepped up the money part!

It's literally their bag game, that's it. They're going all in because they need the "positive" momentum to keep going. The on the field results do not justify the hype they're getting. They;ve also completely memoryholed us beating their asses a few months ago.
