What a load of ****. They will probley try to say the Yahoo report is sufficient evidence and use it to nail Miami like they did Penn State. I hope these slimy ***** are in front of congress when it's all said and done.

Does the statue of limitations go back to when this investigation started in 1986?

Wilfork was drafted in 2004 and rolle in 2005. Doesn't the statute limit it to 5 years?

Correct me if I'm wrong. Don't know all that much about it

Isn't this why they went with LOIC? This allows them to go back further than 5 yrs. Without the LOIC I think they are bound by the statute of limitations. I am not sure but I thought I read that somewhere else.

That has always ****ed me off. The NCAA believes everything he said about Miami but I highly doubt they looked into anything he knew about the SEC. If they take what he said about Miami as true why no this statement?

I hope that Wilfork and Rolle suit the NCAA for defamation of character.I believe that the car that Wilfork bought was after he had graduated.Lies, lies and more lies and now leaking it to the public. The NCAA is getting desperate and adding to their mistakes.

Because he only said it once. So it wasn't cooberated.

Didn't we already know this was probably likely since Shalala was talking about how saying it twice corraberated it?

I seems like everyone realizes that Miami got screwed and that changes to enforcement procedures are needed. Unfortunately for us, it appears that those changes won't be made until after our case has been decided.

This is the clearest sign yet that the NCAA has no intention of letting UM skate.

UM isn't skating no matter what the NCAA does. The process has to conclude. The only question is whether the NCAA will sanction UM over and above the harsh sanctions UM already has self-imposed. The NCAA may not be letting Miami skate, but it has to, at a minimum, prove up a case that merits the sanctions already self-imposed.

That has been a sore spot with me too. I wonder how much time enforcement spent asking Shapiro about this statement.

“The analogy would be you’ve hired a coach for rebuilding, and you didn’t give them a chance to work through the beginning stages of the rebuilding process,” she said. “That was the reason for the statement. It wasn’t to pat Mark on the back.”

Very telling statement.....

I think she was defending herself on her statement, because it came off as her backing a guy who had allowed fraud and attempted extortion under his watch. Not much else.

Theyll probably just take that as a random comment from a convicted ponzi schemer, but everything else he said is factual

These are the same whores and hacks that jumped all over Charles Robinson's sensationalist hit piece without ever questioning a single allegation from a convicted conman who told everybody he had an axe to grind with Miami. Nothing but a bunch of ego driven douche bags who quickly jump on the next hot topic and then claim to be cutting edge journalists bringing you the most up to date "news". These clowns are just as bad as the NCAA, the crooked lawyer, and Shytpiro. Now that all of them have egg on their face they've decided to pretend to be taking the moral high ground.

yep. and I haven't seen anyone (except that Whitlock dude) put Robinson and Yahoo on blast for what has proven to be a complete pile of **** slander tabloid piece.

Problem with "leaking" the info in the NOA is that UM is a private institution and that info is protected. The NCAA just put another notch in Don Donna's lawsuit belt by disclosing private information. This is different than the leaks in connection with the investigation because this leak involves a specific document that is privacy protected.

I feel like she is going to have a field day with these ****'s in court if it makes it that far.

The NCAA is running rough over Miami and I don't see Miami coming out on top. The NCAA ultimatley has more juice. If this was a media darling school then I would think differently about the outcome. Miami might avoid major hits but their punishment will probably still have some teeth when it's all over with. The NCAA clearly doesn't fear anything that Miami has to offer.

You don't think Miami, deep down, is a media darling? Look around at the recent media lining up to back us.

You can't take Darth Vader out of Star Wars . . .

Yep... I've enjoyed his view on the entire situation from start to finish. Nice to see someone who actually asks questions rather than be a lemming.

Whitlock had this sniffed out from the get go. I wish he had the time and resources to really dig into this story more
