If I'm not mistaken he's trained all the top Orlando/Space Coast guys and they all are national recruits
Was just wondering since he keeps saying how this kid is the best he's ever trained.

He was Deondre Francios trainer too.
I wonder if he trained Nkosi Perry too? I remember him and Francios working out together

I've only recently seen him mentioned with Noah Grubbs and Brady Hart although it sounds like he's been around for a while

I first heard of him a couple years back on Coach Hayes' show. First mention of him on CIS was in 2016. Same year as Nkosi so that was a pretty good guess.

Just saw colemans top 8 before committing and Miami wasn't even on it. Just 👌

Hopefully he balls like Case Keenum (houston) Russell Wilson (NC ST/Wis) and Joe Hamilton (GA Tech). Clemson had a couple QB's around his height but thicker build in Woodrow Dantzler and Taj Boyd.

With two years left though who knows, the sky's the limit. My uncle went from 5'9 170 to 6'8 225 his freshman year at FAMU anything is possible fellas.
Tajh Boyd was my comparison for him as well. Not gonna say he puts up those numbers but he's a similar talent.

Tajh had the benefit of playing with Jacoby Ford, CJ Spiller, Dwayne Allen, Deandre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant, and Andre Ellington.

Ellington, Hopkins, Watkins, Bryant, and Allen all in 1 season and then all again minus Allen the next year. Those 2 Clemson teams were both in the conversation of the top 10 offensive skill position rosters in the history of college football.. especially when you consider they were all veterans at that point in time playing together.

Baylin indicated that the Sooners were Plan B and Coleman was ok with that option because of their QB history but the moment the UM offer materialized, everything changed. Legit, this an overused phrase, but he was waiting for the Canes offer and committed very soon thereafter.

OU got the 6th ranked QB to commit to them hence why Coleman had to look elsewhere... unless he meant Coleman was OU's plan B which I doubt.

Or After OU got their QB1 then yea I would believe "technically" OU would then become plan b for Coleman since he would be QB2 in their 2026 class lol

Unsure where Coleman fit in OU's priority but he was a strong OU lean prior to the UM offer.

This is the timeline I remember

  1. Initial articles about Coleman start to get published as a strong OU lean (late May/early June)
  2. Camps at UM, earns offer (early June)
  3. Gaby and other start to leak UM is in the good spot w/Coleman (June 13)
  4. CBs to UM roll in for Coleman (June 24)
  5. Davis commits to OU (June 24)
  6. Coleman commits to UM (July 3)

Now did the UM CBs come in when OU told Coleman that they were taking Davis commitment or did OU take Davis commitment when Coleman trended UM? All we have is Baylin's side of the story.

His trainer said he was a silent commit to Oklahoma.

Kid was going to commit somewhere. It was up to Dawson to decide if we wanted him. He'd had more than enough opportunities to assess Coleman's skills and progress, and made the call. I'm super glad we provided the commitable offer in time. Feel like the coaches handled this masterfully. There's nothing but upside here.
