Cam officially measured at the combine at 6’ 1.5”. Dereon Coleman is certainly tall enough.

Don’t see how he doesn’t end up a high four star if he keeps balling like he has been — other than bias, of course.

Even when compared to Nickel, Nickel played at a program with way more weapons. Coleman doing more with less at Orlando.

You mean way less like a top two or 3 receiver in the country? I get it people have biases. There's no need to disparage one of our kids that just got on campus because you're bias clearly makes you lean towards the running quarterback. Depending on the site you looked on he had the number one wide receiver in the country on his team the last several years so let's try not to make it seem like anything's established because one had so much greater options than the other. They both have tons of upside and plenty to work on in their games before either can contribute at a high level for us. Smh

i wouldnt exactly call these 2 chop liver level.

Coleman team would be +3 -+6 to Nickels championship team more than likely.

Bro nowhere in that statement did I disparage Nickel. We all know Nickel was underrated — a factor in that was that there was a perception Milton High school provided him higher level blue chip talent around him so he didn’t have to do that much. That’s what I’m commenting on.

I’m not commenting on Nickel’s talent. I’m making the comparison in their recruitment that, since Nickel’s ranking rose at the end, I personally believe Coleman’s stock should rise even higher.

Y’all totally misread that comment. So to be clear — I like both players and think Coleman is due for a big ranking bump like Nickel received at the end.

****.

It's funny how 2 people can read the same comment & take it in opposite directions. I was just about to respond without trying to speak for you just how I read it.

I read it as you were saying Coleman was on Luke's level. But even as I thought that I felt like that showed my bias that I think Luke is the better prospect, though I like them both.

Haha yeah that’s the lost in translation part of the message boards. Definitely don’t want people thinking I’m bashing Nickel.

I really love both prospects @Brooklyndee and @gogeta4 and believe they should get similar shine at the end of their recruitment.
