Why do they keep calling position groups a “room”?

You seriously have never heard of position groups meeting with position coaches in a meeting room with projectors to review film and discuss game planning, play book etc? They just don't show up wearing spikes on the field. Thing called coaching, preparation.
Take a second and reread his post—he is not saying “ there is no room,” and he is not saying “ive never heard of a position room.”
It is a relatively recent addition to the media’s football vernacular. I find it annoying, and wonder why they don’t say quarterbacks, receivers, or running backs…and so forth. Adding the word, “room” adds nothing to the meaning or understanding.

According to saucses, we have a "room" for "war" too. Thoughts?
