Official Visit Weekend: December 15-17, 2023 (Portal Edition)

Take it with a grain of salt because it's obviously not an exact science (and Indiana football was just not good this year) but see below for how Zach Carpenter compared to Matt Lee this year according to PFF.

Matt Lee: 8th overall, 5th in pass blocking, 26th in run blocking.
Zach Carpenter: 133rd overall, 130th in pass blocking, 151st in run blocking.

He was originally at Michigan in the 2019 class, but transferred shortly after the Covid season ended in Dec. 2020. It was considered unusual because he was expected to be the frontrunner for starter in 2021. Might not be the pro prospect Lee is, but he's more than serviceable.

BTW, what’s’ up with the weather. Haven’t seen the sun the past 2 days and the forecast is grim for this weekend.

Bad timing for gloomy weather…it’s normally a strong suit.
