Not a huge fan of Zion Grady. Good player but seems to be lacking an “elite” trait. Not as twitchy as you’d like to see at his height/weight.

Higher on Scroggins who seems more twitched up.

Agree on scroggins. Not sure what his speed is but he has that burst that Grady doesn’t have. Plus, Scroggins has nearly a 7’ wingspan which is how you draw up a pass to rusher.

Fong Bomb

With this I would see if we can Flip Hayden Lowe form USC especially now that they're down in the gutter.

Try and get a DE class of: Iose Epensa, Hayden Lowe and Herbert Scroggins

Are my 3 for the class......

I work on flipping Javion Hilson on the low.

I wouldnt waste time with Lowe.

i feel like some are about to come off the board so we may need to widen our edge board here pretty soon.

Scroggins maybe trending to Auburn which also may effect our dt board witht he savannah kids.

Locally i'd keep a tab on these 2:

Unless that ref is 6'4 there is no way Bain is 6'3. Bain would be about 6'4 in cleats if he was 6'3. I think he's somewhere between 6'1 and 6'2View attachment 292695
No clue how tall Bain is, but...

A wide angle lens could make Mirabal look fat, and a tele lens could make him look yuge; and anything in between. Focal length, pitch, angle, subject distance/position in relation... way to many unknown variables to make that assessment from a photo.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bain is here through his senior year. He's going to be a monster on the field but I'm not sure how NFL scouts will view his measurements. I think he's more 6'1 than 6'3, will he play DT or DE at the next level, he's kind of a tweener. You don't really see a bunch of 6'1 270 DEs go first round
I am less concerned with his height as much as I am with his body type. The bottom line is if he continues to produce (sacks, pressures & TFL’s) he will be drafted early after his 3rd year. Aaron DT didn’t fit prototypical size bit his productivity and relentless made him hard to pass up. If Bain is able to lean up, add more speed explosiveness he will definitely be dominating the next too years.

Gabby said Lee to UM isn't likely happening…No idea which side backed off there.

I think it's going to be Ep/Scroggins/portal for 3 spots (then you go to another portal if you lose someone unexpectedly)…Now if you lose out on Epenesa then you try to flip someone for that spot. Any info/opinion on the STA kid committed to Pitt?

The Grady stuff was all a little puzzling. Writers thought it was happening, he was gung ho about JT in every interview.

Bain is 6'2 tops

Agree. Which is an example of why I'm not too worried about certain guys being slightly off the ideal NFL measurables. Bain, Restrepo, Porter, now Lofton. These guys are proven ballers (or trending that way in the case of Porter and now Lofton). You can't have a team of midgets. But you can still be a championship team with a few in your 22.

So if we want to take a kid who just makes plays but falls out of a NFL D1/2 prototype, then we should do it. If Coleman is our best QB option at 6', then so be it. King was a stud at 5'9".

Wouldn't be surprised if this was another Justin Scott situation where we thought we were getting him, he committed to OSU, and then we stayed relentless til he flipped.
