We literally can’t pay these guys with bags or the NCAA will Shapiro/Ruiz us. But yeah I am sure we’re using NIL in other legal ways. I do think paying for verbals is weak though.

I know of a few kids who get paid just to tweet things about specific schools. Not a crazy amount but easy money for kids.

Verbal commitment payments have been going on but not like this year. The market is crazy.

Ive got no patience for anyone crying about bags. We have bags, they have bags. Recruting skills still matter. Relationships still matter. Results still matter. We are not delivering on the results and the gattis/steele disaster has put us behind the 8 ball with relationships. Mario needs to fix it and fix it fast.
 
Sorry, I’m slow. Just wondering how we had Patterson written in ink for months to now we are having to make up ground/it’s not dead. I thought it was us the whole time? Has the staff been getting played or has his camp been playing it close and stringing along other staffs? Sorry if I missed this

Go with the constant here. Patterson was thought to be a lock. As his coach’s mandatory commit date came, all the media pointed to everyone except Miami. It felt like Miami was running 4th the past couple weeks. All the while, Cribby has been saying he would be very surprised if Patterson didn’t sign with Miami. Cribby never mentioned anything about a commitment either.

Tonight, Gaby, Noles 247 and Auburn 247 have all put Miami back into the lead or top 2. Throughout this media flip flopping, Cribby hasn’t flinched.

Seems like him pushing his commitment up is sending alot of mixed signals because alot isn’t settled, usually u have a more clearer feel if a kid has taken his official visits
