Just cannot say enough good things about this kid. What a blessing he’s been, someone we can all be proud of.

I grew up with a dude who was a pretty high level basketball player. But he was only 5’7. He said something to me when we were in High School that I’ll never forget.

“Little guys have to prove they can play. Big guys have to prove they can’t”.

Read that again. It’s so true. When you’re got a typical frame and measurables, you’ll get every opportunity to prove you can do it. When you don’t, you very typically don’t get ANY opportunity.

Restrepo is such an example of hard work beating talent when talent doesn’t work hard. This dude wasn’t given anything by god except some quickness and elite parents. They developed him and he took it upon himself to get the absolute maximum out of what he was given. He’s not 6’4 and can roll out of bed and run 4.3 like many kids can. He’s worked his *** off for everything he’s ever gotten.

I really hope we make the playoffs so this kid can be celebrated nationally in the weeks leading up got the game as the media does stories on the teams. He deserves it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it is going to be a tough adjustment next year watching the Canes without him on the field. His departure will be a massive loss for this team. That first third down our QB is running around and has no one to throw or the WR drops it, all of Canes nation will be having fond memories of this dude lol.

I have no doubt he'll end up at a team like the Chiefs or something and work himself into a pivotal role as a possession receiver.

I havent been to a Sr day in awhile because I just was so angry with the team..but definitely look forward to being in the building and sending off this Sr class esp X-man. Salute!
