A few different things here. First **** Wisconsin. What they are doing is bull**** and everyone who has commented in detail about the separation of the collective and the remedies for any issues with advanced payments, if they’re even contractually spelled out correctly, to require him to pay them back or to not be paid in the future, are completely accurate.

The damage this is doing to Wisconsin with South Florida high school recruits and in general as people see it - even if there was legitimate tampering and bull**** going on which I doubt is happening because people aren’t that stupid (and I doubt they can prove it) -is pretty tremendous and really dumb on their part. Imagine ****ing off American heritage

All that said, I wish this didn’t turn into a Miami Wisconsin thing for a different long-term reason, and that is if we think about the realignment aspects in the big 10 - whether that’s going to come to pass anytime soon or in the future in actual fact - is that the big 10 is controlled by Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan all having their own voting block that they can really lean on people for. In a perfect world We wouldn’t be on their bad side but then again, **** Wisconsin.

It's always great when the need to prove how big your balls are leads to proving the school is colluding with the collective.

The downfall of many men throughout history.

I love how he brags about his boy balls. Most people do not have very impressive balls when they were boys. And the exceptions to that rule all post on CIS.

Yeah but if you break a contract then a lawsuit can be filed and you be forced into a debt agreement with person you broke the contract with. They don’t force you to uphold the contract. Wisconsin is literally pretending like they can force them to honor their side of the contract, which is basically insane and illegal. It amounts to harassment and if it stops him from earning money then it’s another legal issue altogether.

Let's clarify on this point.

There is a legal contractual remedy called "specific performance" which allows the court to order someone to fulfill the contract as stated. This is not very common, is mostly used in disputes involving the sale of goods (as opposed to the performance of services) and will NOT be used (and has never been used) in an NIL context.

Not gonna happen.

On the other hand, "monetary damages" are a much more reasonable and likely remedy here. And, again, I would ask people to hold their opinions until they have read the contract. Because if the contract DOES NOT require repayment with specific language, then Xavier Lucas DOES NOT need to repay any money. No matter how many cheeseheads howl about the fundamental unfairness of the world.

I'll just say, of the handful of NIL agreements I've seen, there have been no "repayment schedules". And I'm not sure many recruits would sign many NILs that DID contain such language.
