RIGHT! We were being crammed into 3 15 passenger vans to go to Myrtle Beach for Spring break(10 hour drive) to play schools we had never heard of.

Excited to eat at Old Country Buffet (and then lose 7lbs), get 1 team shirt/short and if you are lucky 2 hats. DH's you got excited if your coach got ham and turkey for the sandwiches you had to make instead of just PB&J.
We got the tour bus with bunk beds in them for every road trip. Idk what kind of poverty you were in with those 15 passenger vans.

Spring break was the worst. One year we played 10 games in 7 days and took that **** bus from TN to NC to SC to GA to FL to AL and back to TN. Basically lived on that thing for a week straight with equipment and 1 duffel of clothes. No laundry was done the whole time. Wasn’t planned very well at all lol. Nothing but hotel breakfast, subway, little ceasars, and Zaxbys

Well I was 98-02 so you may have caught that first wave of luxury with the buses.

I think it was my first year out when the NCAA basically said any trip over 2 hours you need a bus.

Hotel breakfasts were a must...unfortunately 30 guys waiting on 1 waffle maker was not a great situation. We would soak uniforms in one of the tubs, scrub the dirt/grass and then dry them. But the one thing is the dirt in the south compared to the north is totally different. I think taking a dump in your pants comes out easier then southern dirt/clay(Never did just taking an educated guess).

2013-2016 so ya I was in the new age. I remember at MTSU my first year our older guys telling us about the vans they used to take with no AC and no heat and going up to Southern Illinois in early March and going down to Louisiana Lafayette in May.

I travelled with football one time and they flew us down to FIU and we stayed in an Intercontinental. It was heaven compared to college baseball.
