Blasphemy! That 86' team made UM what it is today and what we will always be. Ring or no ring. They also started the "anytime, anyone, anywhere" theory. Did you see they schedule that year? We would never have the balls to have a schedule like that again ever. Greatest Miami team ever.

The 1988 team had a much tougher schedule. As a matter of fact, easily the toughest in the history of the school. And that team runs the table if not the ultimate ***** job in South Bend. Plus, JJ had the balls to go for the win and not the tie. We ***** about a bang, bang call in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl. Nothing, I repeat, nothing was as outrageous as that blown call. After the game, the head referee said it didn't matter because Miami would have turned the ball over on downs. Gary was clearly inside the 1-yard line and it would have been first and goal.

I can agree with that Pentagon Cane. That 88' schedule was BRUTAL. If the BCS had been around in those days we would have been in the national title game easily..Smh.

I hate UF as much as the next fan but UFs schedule this year is MURDERERS ROW. When you play UM, USCe, LSU, GA, and FSU all in the same year then your AD has brass balls..JMO.

On the left, people forget about Bubba McDowell. That dude was a straight killa' out there at safety. Totally underrated Hurricane player. Last I heard, he was coaching at the Univ of Houston under Kevin Sumlin (when Sumlin was there)

Neither the '86 nor the '88 team started the any team anytime, anywhere thing. The '84 schedule was ridiculous for one, but take a look at some of the earlier schedules. Look at some from the 70s.

Nothing to do with their AD having cojones, in fact he's ball-less and has been dodging us for yrs. That's this yrs SEC rotating schedule, nothing new.

BisCane, I agree. BUT they dont HAVE to schedule FSU or us if they dont want. They can use the ol' "The SEC is hard enough! We dont want to play anyone difficult OOC"...Im not making excuses for them..But thats a brutal schedule. LSUs is brutal as well. ALAs schedule is a cake walk and they should be embarrassed to even field that.. just so you dont think I suck off the SEC.

I will be glad when we go back to the days of playing hard schedules. At least 2 tough OOC teams every year. Then we will be back..
