WR Dont Win Teams Championships

***** it! Who needs receivers.
We got 3! They can take every rep in practice and also the scout team.
plus we all know they never get hurt.
We should stop wasting scholarships on receivers.

WR next year:
Richards
Cager
Mullins
Berrios
Harris

Possible newcomers:
Njoku
Harley
?
?

Also we have talented TE and RB. The offense will be ok!

You sound pretty salty. I am too though, it was a got punch.

I'm actually not stay at all. I'm pointing out the facts. Would have it been nice to get Jeudy, sure. Does it make or break his class, no! We need O-Lineman and DB way more than we need a WR.

You realize we're one injury away from our most experienced WR being a 5'8" white guy with 3 career TDs and about a .5 catch per game average?

WR next year:
Richards - STUD
Cager - Coming off knew injury so who knows = ?
Mullins - Hasn't taken one snap yet so who knows = ?
Berrios - Is ok but a limited player
Harris - Is ok but a limited player

Possible newcomers:
Njoku - ok that's one
Harley - hasn't flipped yet so I wouldn't count him in yet.
? A little late to scramble for a WR
?

Nothing wrong with admitting that WR recruiting has not gone well

agree 100%, line is what wins. I would have been more upset if Donaldson de-committed rather than happy if jeudy committed.

You're spot on. The problem w losing out on Jeudy tho is he would've done wonders for us perception and street cred wise and would be only increased the number of elite interior hogs who'd consider us down the line.

So while losing him really isn't a big deal on the field, it would be taken our brand to another level in these skreets.

THIS....

I'm not discounting that WR recruiting has been less than desirable but we have enough talent to win next year. I will also stick to my guns that running and defense wins championships. Richt has never recruited WR very well so this may be a trend unfortunately. He is a run first coach that uses the play action to setup passes. WR will probably never flock here to play for his pro style offense.

LMAO yea keep telling yourself that

Telle a team that has won a ship in the last 10 years cause the had a WR carry the team? You can't. Y'all so sad over Jeudy that you aren't looking at the FACTS.

Cooper says hello, you need elite players at every position to win period

How many teams each year have elite players at every position? 1, maybe 2. No college team is stacked at every position. Some of you are delusional.

Moving past the defense and a cloud of dust wins discussion...injurys happen.
And right now we are one injury away from Berrios as the number one guy.
I'll reserve judgement until signing day but IMO it's an epic fail at WR.

AJ Green and Sanu are the only two WR he has put in the league at Georgia that I can remember. Thays pretty weak. I watched Georgia all the time since I love in SEC country. Richt runs the **** ball and plays defense. Yes we need playmakers but Jeudy wasn't a make or break for this class and no one is going to make me change my mind.

If I remember correctly, Sanu played at Rutgers.

These posts are pointless. It's a big part of the puzzle. Not for just his play but the signal to other recruits. In any case it's nothing to jump off a cliff over. Not a big deal to me.

**** I though Sanu was Georgia haha well **** outside of Green what has he done for elite WR?

To OP, stop focusing so much on the position, rather focus on the game changing guys. JJ falls into the latter category. There are folks who debate that Jeudy is not a game changer but I could not disagree more - he is electric imo and he's right up there with Grimes in terms of athletic ability. THOSE are the guys you win with, not just any ol' WR.

This. Would have been great to have gotten him, but we can win without JJ. The bigger thing was what getting him would have said about the program and the potential it had to help us with other top guys down the road. It's like losing to fsu this year...9-4 would have been nice, but the bigger point of having won that game would have been in the perception of Miami football. We have to start winning some of these games and/or recruiting battles or we'll be stuck in 8-4 land forever. Win one and the other will follow.

Every position is important. OL may be the most important group, but that's only because 5 guys are at that position.

An impact WR can make a huge difference. Two impact WRs really puts pressure on the defense.

WR recruiting has been terrible.
We can't pretend like we don't need elite players. Elite WRs are needed to win championships. It take pressure off of
the QB. Until we turn it around on the field we aren't going to be able land elite recruits.

Lol at our fans.

The Bama WR wasn't giving us a real look until his family circumstances changed. Then when he and his family stick with their original plan, "Miami is a failure!" The truth is that almost no program/coach gets everyone. Ask Texas, ND, USC.........the key in my opinion is to improve significantly every year until the stars align, an unwanted QB turns into a H. Trophy winner, or a Group of players become exceptional together. Then you win big and then and only then you get your pick the top guys. Need I remind you of how bad Bama was under Mike Shula?

So, yes I wish we had 22 all America starters and 55 NFL players on the roster, but given the last 13 years of Miami football, I am thrilled that we are getting much stronger.
