WR CJ Daniels sets visit to Miami on Sunday

Says he wanted to commit to us last year but the QB situation scared him away. Cam announced UM a few days after he had already given his word to LSU.
He is hoping UM has more clairty on the QB situation before he plans on deciding in a week and a half or so. He wanted nothing to do with Reece’s Puffs or Emory last cycle, so yeah…

Probably my orange and green glasses, but I’d imagine we get the benefit of the doubt this year. It’s clear Mario isn’t only a ground and pound coach. Has to be a little bit of faith extended to his vision for the offense.

seems like they want to give Emory a fair shot and I think he at least deserves that. Any portal qb likely to be just a one year rental and not a multi-year kid.

It’s his last year so kid wants to get paid and wants to know he will be in an offense that can get him numbers ie have a good QB in an established system, in that order.

I agree. I do think it’s easier it’s to take a leap of faith than last season. Ideally don’t wanna sell the kid on last year and hope, but there’s a more defined burden of proof than this time last year.

Shodell followed up saying that Miami will know who their portal addition at QB will be late next week.

This is the exact scenerio that's hindering us now in
1-WR portal (QB uncertainty)
2-DB/Defense portal (Defensive staff uncertainty)
I'm sure moves are being made behind the scene but as you said previously, players tweet their offers/visits and there's not a lot of action in both of these areas. Slow and steady as she goes...
