Darnit! I should have asked earlier this evening at Publix, but I did not. I assume Chris attended Palmetto Ridge HS in Naples, but that's just a guess based on where his dad, Coach Paul, is the Head Coach now.Just curious what high school in Naples

Well miami plays like a juco team so just bring him now. Gosh if he can catch might already be better than most our wrs nowJuco would be the way to go most likely
So he is perfect for the ACC?Try to walk on at a a Community College or JUCO and go from there. That's his best avenue as it doesn't sound like there's much to sell besides a frame and that's not going to cut it for really any decent conference.
You can certainly send Alonzo Highsmith an email ... his email is listed on the UM staff directory. How do I get this young man evaluated by someone at The U?
Stats:
6'8' tall (Yeah, not a typo.)
80.5" wingspan (Not a typo, either.)
4.5 40yd laser (Yup.)
4.45 40yd PR (I still wrote it right.)
Chris played freshman and sophomore years high school in Naples. Junior year was in New York. Due to moving back from NY to Naples, he did not play his senior year. There is a small amount of film out there, but I think it dates back to his first 2 years of HS. Even back then, Chris towered over his QB.
Chris graduated HS last spring, 2022. He is staying in shape by playing basketball for hours every day.
How do these 5'8" tall safeties guard against a Wide Receiver like Chris who is a foot taller, even faster, and has better footwork? IDK. I think Chris could come out of nowhere and be the next Jimmy Graham.
IDK how to evaluate kids. Not my line of work. Can we somehow get this young man a workout with someone on Mario's staff?
Chris is my neighbor. I have his phone and email. I'm willing to pass on his email to anyone who can evaluate him properly in person or who can get him in front of the staff for a workout.
Thank you all for helping this great young man, Fam!

never heard Of him. He would of stood out at palmetto ridge (no pun intended) if he was Miami caliber
Coach Paul is very approachable. He had no idea who I was last night. At Publix, he was line in front of me. His shirt had the Palmetto Ridge crest on it. He's tall. So I asked, "What's your last name?"I went to Palmetto that’s crazy
Rick... dude!!! Do you have any idea how embarrassed I feel right now??? LOLOLOL. Here I am thinking I need to learn some secret handshake and get the correct decoder ring to get Chris noticed. And then you posted THAT!!! Uhm, yeah, it might just be that simple, lol. I've asked Coach Paul for his email address. When he sends it to me, I will email Alonzo with a cc to Chris and Coach Paul. You can certainly send Alonzo Highsmith an email ... his email is listed on the UM staff directory.
Not gonna lie. He’s playing CB in his film and moves pretty well. @Rozbro_210 jas he ever ran drills/played TE or DE?
He lived in Ny for a time?. I would say his best bet would be to go to the school Colbie Young was at before coming to UM. Lackawanna JUCO.
The coach apparently is plugged in with Mario and sold them on Colbie Young if he can go up tere and do what Colbie did at Lackawanna he will get offers.
I will do you a solid get in touch with the guys on twitter.
Send the same info you posted here to them and go from there.
JUCO would be a very good start. If he graduated w/ no academic issues, he may just need a season there instead of two. Prep school would be even better. Only need to put in the fall and transfer for the spring session.
Ok, so I'm a bit confused. His father is a HS coach in Naples? If that's the case, shouldn't he have a clue on navigating the recruiting waters?
