We may or may not need a WR1, but we need WRs period. Our numbers are very low compared to what most teams carry.

I was looking at the returning production at WR from 2024 performances and man it’s slim pickings for an elite WR1 type player not named Jeremiah or Ryan Williams who has a ton of production. Majority of the top 25 producers are gone to NFL

Corey Rucker at Ark State is a name but I can’t tell if he has another season. I can’t see he’s left or declared for draft - 6’0 215 WR with 3,000 yards and 24 TDS in career

This is the post right here, everybody says JoJo is on a different level and I want to believe that, seeing as he was the number two red receiver in the country last year behind his boy Smith. If JoJo is that guy, then he can be wide receiver one this fall and no need to get another guy. Coaches will know that in spring football, so we’ll see what happens in the portal after that. A full year plus in a college program should have done wonders for JoJo’s. Body as far as getting bigger and stronger. Let’s see if it happens.

Agree, but everyone says JoJo has the ability to be on their level, that’s the gamble we have to let take place this spring if he is or not. I believe in him and I want him to be wide receiver one here if he is on another level like everyone says he is. The biggest goal for him was to get bigger and stronger and get his body college ready. He will have had almost a year and a half in the program to do that, let’s see if he took it seriously and in spring he’s the beast Everyone predicted him to be. If not, then we’ll be WR one recruiting in the spring portal.

I mean, somebody gotta transfer outta there after spring, no? That’s the 4th receiver they’ve portaled in, and I think they’ve brought in 3 tight ends (not sure where Odom would be classified, so could be more 5wr and 2te). And they return Cayden Lee who had almost 900 receiving yards this season.
