Worst team ever

Bro you know what. You’re right, but It’s gonna take weeks before people realize this (including myself).
But it’s also the context
Having the best offense in the history of Miami, the best offense in the country, and having a Heisman worthy QB

Yes steps in the right direction but If you told us we’d have those three things listed above, I don’t know if you would have been happy with 10-2

Once I saw the offense I moved the goal
Post and it burnt me

Maybe the worse defense. I would say this is the most underachieving when everything was right in front of you. It is a very poorly coached team that lacks poise and doesn't prepare well. Some bodies need to drop. Guidry, Nicholson, Salavea, and Taylor all must go. Cristobal should start next season on the hot seat. He's shown to be no better than Diaz to be honest. Diaz also had a fluke season in 2020 with no championships to show. This was basically 2017 all over again. The great mirage season 2.0.
The secondary tier of personnel might go--Guidry for sure; but I don't think there is any willingness to fire a coach who went 5-7, 7-5, then 10-2 (still have to find out if we even make it to the playoff). Statistically we've improved YoY in most places except defense.

I think we are all drunk with anger right now after this bitter loss against a team we were not unprepared for defensively. Given a few days off to let our reactions settle, we might see this picture clearer.

Stat-wise, but not talent/execution-wise.

This is our second 10 win season in 20 years. You guys truly have no concept of how bad we have been. This was a ****** loss and an embarrassing way to end the season, but the hyperbole around here is crazy lol this is our best season since 2003. We have been so bad for so long.
We’re still that bad, nothing changed. A win or two vs **** teams doesn’t change that we suck still

So if someone told you’d we’d average 44 points a game, You would have signed up for 10-2?

The board talked all offseason about the secondary, but I don't believe anyone could have foreseen the defense being this bad.

Numbers/stats can be misleading; you could average 44 but what does the distribution look like and how many points are you giving up?

Either way I think we're a fundamentally flawed and episodically undisciplined team; 10-2 is about where we should be and unfortunately it wasn't good enough.

we had one game we scored in the 20s and then beyond that FSU was our lowest game at 36

I’m not disagreeing with you, but before season 10-2 I would have been happy, but during the season 10-2 I am
Not happy haha

Agreed no one saw the secondary being this bad, the tackling being that spotty, and the pass rush disappearing so often in big games

Worst coaching and defense ever. Just had a generational quarterback and easiest schedule with talent. Never seen a team fail so bad
Worst defense ever, maybe?
Offense was elite.

Worse defense than D'no and ****** clock management and Gameday decisions, but not worst team ever

Our margin of error with this defense is super low. Can't turn the ball over and can't have personal fouls in the red zone. Those two plays decided the game as far as i'm concerned. Not laying blame by any stretch, just saying they probably had the most impact based on the result of each play.
