Fair! It's weird but my hatred for OSU, PSU and ND goes back to my childhood in the early 70's! Don't know why but I've always disliked those teams! I remember backyard football when a lot of my friends loved those teams and would claim to be one of their players - I'd always be the opposite rival player.

It’s y I clowned that certain segment of this fan base actively rooting for OSU v. UO. I’m like wtf? All b/c of their coach crush?

That vitriol should’ve been saved for the next round; but, I was completely shocked at the cult-like mentality, not remotely understanding that OSU will cake walk to another title. OSU has been an absolute thorn in our side since 2002-03. Yet, those yuckles were so blinded by “we can’t have Lanning look better than Mario” that they were absolutely happy OSU won.

The nightmare scenario would’ve been a Penn State-Notre Dame national title game and have Diaz still defensive coordinator for Penn State and Al Golden defensive coordinator at Notre Dame.

I dislike Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Penn State, so I have to root for Texas. I don’t care for Texas, so I am rooting against Ohio State.

I did not watch tonight’s game, will not be watching tomorrow night’s game or the national title game. College football is over until Canes spring practice and any off-season activity.

As I replied in another post - I get that! Honestly, I've disliked ND, OSU and PSU long before my hatred for FSU or UF started. As a young kid and native Floridian, I always cheered for all of our teams until I became a Canes fan in the late 70's. In all honesty, growing up in Brevard county, I heard/saw more about UF and FSU than I ever did about UM. UM was never on TV in my area and I actually saw more Grambling and FAMU football games, along with the traditional powers. I believe the first UM games I saw were in 1978 when they lost to FSU and beat UF and I think I saw the UF game on some Sunday UF highlight show. I became a fan of the program that year when I found out it was a small school taking on the big state schools and it was a **** of lot closer to home!
