How many years did it take Mark Richt to build UGa to the point where Kirby and more money could get them over the top then how many years or Kirby building?

How many years did Jim Tressel build OSU to turn it over to Urban?

How many top classes does LSU have and still can’t seem to dominate year in and year out?

How many years of Dabo building Clemson?

no one said this roster is elite top to bottom. there are clear holes we all know that.


Ppl want a dominant team but refuse to go through the process that it takes to build a machine.

And start complaining and whining at the every sign of adversity.

It’s week 9, I’m not giving Guidry a pass but we’ve seen this defense fail to execute regardless of the scheme.

The safeties have under performed their expectations.

Kiko has been terrible and is a liability out there.

The DLine has not been the force we expected.

You’re seeing different personnel, you’re seeing different scheme heavy use of man.

Unfortunately at this moment the call doesn’t seem to matter because at the moment if truth we aren’t making the play.

Why don't the coaches prepare the team better? Whybare players constantly out of position? Why cant we make defensive adjustments in the first half? Questions that actually matter never get answered. All fluff no substance. The roster is not in a good place no matter how many people mention elite or class rank. We don't have enough yet alone the level of help on the way.

Dude it’s year 3 and the only difference between Manny and Mario is Cam Ward. Oh and Manny’s defenses actually got lined up correctly.

I don’t know where to assign blame so I’m looking forward to the critical analysis on here. The DB talent isn’t good. The LBs aren’t the sideline to sideline types I’d like to see. How much of it is the talent and how much is the coaching?

The point is more, "besides an all-time program great at qb, how have we improved this year?". We clowned FSU all off-season for thinking they'd continue to win without Jordan Travis. We're looking at a steep drop-off next year if we don't get another great qb and a handful of bona-fide play makers on defense (I do not mean anything like the collapse of FSU this year). This is year 3 and our defense looks as bad as ever. It's very, very concerning.

I’ve said MANY times you can’t take away Cam from Mario bc he got him. But you can sure as **** say Mario was the wrong hire bc that’s the only part of the program that’s gotten better. Tens of millions of dollars for a guy that was gonna “build it correctly and sustainably” but in 3 years that hasn’t happened and isn’t gonna happen with the class coming in next year.

Mario is 30% of the way through his contract and he hasn’t done the thing he was hired to do.

i'd love to see more zone but its obvious the defense as a whole goes brain dead when they see a person go in motion.

@Coach Macho would have better answers on what Guidry could do to fix it.

I think u’re missing the point.

During the Cal game, we had a thread saying Cam is not elite. We have fans this game blaming Cam.

Cam has his flaws, he’s our 2024 version of Brett Farve, but w/o him, this team is 5-5. Not one Chiefs fan blaming Pat for a L, or saying that he’s not elite. That’s the point, that we’re fortunate that Cam is QB1 here b/c w/o him, we’re 5-5.

I’ve said all year don’t be mad when he does stupid **** because you celebrate him when that stupid **** works . Also the good stupid outweighs the bad stupid by a large margin. That’s why I’ll never be too hard on him. He’s covering up a lot for this team.

So Ward can't be criticized for his mistakes? Ball security has always been an issue with Ward he put the ball on the ground twice today.

Feel free. That’s a legit drawback. He wins a lot more than he loses so we take it. The defense isn’t winning a lot more than they lose.
