Wish we would have got Collins

I just looked, and Collins had 1026 yards last year as a true freshman on a team that every opponent thew he was running. in the SEC.

481 of those yards were against non-SEC teams.

116 against TAMU (surprise).

429 against the remaining 7 SEC opponents, averaging 61 yards per game.

Let's hold off on the coronation.

Duke had 538 yards against FAU, WF and Ga tech. They are hardly juggernaut's either. If u look at it that way.

And I like Duke. If he was a KR, PR and split time with another RB, he would be even more valuable to us. Would be fresher.

Of the players we did not get, he is the one that hurt the most. Hate that he left, but sure would have liked him to come off the bench in Tally last year when Duke went down.

I didn't make the argument that he tore up the ACC.

And I'm not even going to acknowledge this comparison between Duke and Collins. That's an absolute joke.

Collins didn't want to come here. **** him.

I wouldnt trade any of our top 3 for him:

Johnson
Yearby
Edwards

but that's just me.

Unfortunately I think Al thinks the same way. Why we never beat a decent team.

Yeah, but it's 'stood up on prom night' type beta BS to bring up and even start threads "oh gee I wish he would not have chosen another school over us". We offered him. His mom ran away with his papers. He still signed with Arkansas. Get over it.

Collins, 6 for 70 in the first half against #6 AUB on the road. True sophomore. Probably a first rounder one day.

Give me even just ONE of Scarlett, Williams, Cronkrite over Alex Collins 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. I prefer each of those three over Collins 100%.

Especially Scarlett who eats pieces of **** like Collins for breakfast

Collins is a great player. Would be getting the bulk of our carries even with Duke.

You mean against the overrated SEC defenses that Ive been watching for the last couple days??

Especially Auburn who has no defense what so ever...

THis. For as stout as Gary Danielson likes to pretend SEC D is year in and year out. There were a ton of shootouts last year in the conference. Pac-12 type shootouts. So basically Collins put up those #s in a year with one of the worst conference defensive performances as a whole. I mean, Michael Sam won Co-Defensive Player of the Year. 7th round draft and just got cut from the Rams.

Yes. It takes a lot or ******ry to start a thread like this.

I think the point is we could have really used a solid running back last year (aside from duke) ... after Duke went down, we all saw how Miami season ended with lack of depth there.

Who cares about those players you mentioned, that's two seasons later (hoping they all stick!)

Collins would be ahead of Yearby and Gus on our depth chart. He's tested, something Yearby isn't.

The last place I'm worried about with this team is RB providing everyone remains healthy.
