some of you don't like agents, but the is THE EXACT reason these kids need one ... this is a creative way to lock a kid into a contract for two years and decide to "increase or decrease" their revenue based on their metric (whatever that is)
Who’s the blue blood in this scenario? They are just setting the stage for when Miami joins the B1G. They need more reasons for the blue bloods to get all the calls and easy schedules.
Ohio State, MichiganWho’s the blue blood in this scenario?
The hypocrisy of giving schools the ability to increase or decrease the player’s pay based on performance while still saying it isn’t pay for play? People should be ashamed of themselves for writing and enforcing this. This is the exact reason why they didn’t want to release Lucas. A bunch of athletes signed this ridiculous assss contract, which is 90% one way and also locks them into that school for two years. No way if the athletes were legally represented by an agent or a lawyer, would they Advise them to sign such a contract. And what probably happened the moment Lucas went into the portal, they knew they were going to have an issue because a bunch of other athletes were gonna be like “wait a minute I thought we couldn’t transfer”?
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the Tampering allegation has to do with the fact that Lucas figured out that the contract was bull**** and they assume that the only way he could’ve figured that out was if he had legal representation and they’re probably claiming that Miami helped him.
Now a bunch of lawyers and agents are looking at that MOU and slamming wisky and the entire conference all over social media for making players sign that sht.
The B1G has blue bloodsWho’s the blue blood in this scenario?
Yeah that makes more sense. I thought you were talking about us or Wisconsin.Ohio State, Michigan

I think every agent will because the universities have the unilateral power to increase or more importantly, decrease compensation based on performance. Not good for the player, but also not good for the agent who is working on a percentage of the overall compensation. You think most agents would advise against this?
Of course. The MOU as it is written doesn’t allow for the athletes to give the agents a cut.You think most agents would advise against this?
Cam McCormick would get a full pensionMany college professors get pensions.
Will this new class of college employee qualify for them?
Great minds think alikeI think every agent will because the universities have the unilateral power to increase or more importantly, decrease compensation based on performance. Not good for the player, but also not good for the agent who is working on a percentage of the overall compensation.
Even further- at the schools discretion. The hypocrisy of giving schools the ability to increase or decrease the player’s pay based on performance while still saying it isn’t pay for play? People should be ashamed of themselves for writing and enforcing this.
How much is 1 billion percent yes.You think most agents would advise against this?
That’s why I don’t understand why they could possibly try to get away with this. They had to know it would get challenged at some point. These people are not idiots. So what else don’t we know yet?How much is 1 billion percent yes.
Let me be really clear. If Miami is trying to insert this kind of language as well (not all) then that is bull**** as well.
The part about lowering payments at their discretion is laughably pathetic.
I’m almost stunned how one sided this template is. It’s heinous.
Doubt it would stand up in court with any decent representation. I can’t believe all their lawyers put together something so blatantly unfair.
It’s ****ed and I’ve seen some really ****ed up “mutually beneficial and fair” agreements before and even those ******** would be- wow this is ****ed
