Not disagreeing with you but losing two potential 1st round picks is hard to replace for any line. Mac and Norton were bottom tier draft prospects.

Gerald Willis could go 1st round. Joe Jackson is not a 1st rounder

Underclassmen at that position are usually inexperienced because so few if them contribute much early.

I guess there is only two blue chip DT’s in the last two classes, so I was being a bit hopeful. One thing is for sure DL recruiting went way better than OL recruiting in the 2019 class.

This is just an area I so desperately want to be like DE at Miami...like it used to be...just freakin dominant. We do tend to get pretty **** decent production at the position, even though we aren't normally able to afford the already built DT tanks that go to the $EC...but an upgrade here every recruiting class allows our talented DEs to tee off even more....there is no soft spot left unless you over speed rush an athletic QB on the outside.

OL is a much bigger NEED in terms of more consistent production, but we get OL and DT square, we are back consistently on top.

We need two true tackles in the worst way. Hopefully Walker and Rivers are those guys. Doesn't seem like we're even in the picture for Dumervil. Go all out for Walker and Rivers.

There has multiple mock drafts that have both going in the 1st round.

We have an opportunity this year to make the jump into possible playoff contenders. Our weakness has been our O-Line and depth at DT.

On offense if we can go all in with Marcus Dumervil, Isaiah Walker, Jalen Rivers and Jonathan Denis. That would upgrade our talent to be on a National Championship level.

On Defense Sam Anaele, Chantz Williams, Elijah Roberts, Willie Moise and Jalen Carter as well as Jaeden Phillips would set up our D-Line with top flight talent.

If we want to compete with Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State we have to close with talent like this.

Who would you like to see us finish with on the lines?

Remember, guys in the trenches normally take time to perfect their craft and get that old man strength. So whoever we sign in 20 likely won't be all ACC caliber until Jr. Sr. years. We will have to get by on scheme and just good talent until development catches up with potential big time line recruits.
