We have an opportunity this year to make the jump into possible playoff contenders. Our weakness has been our O-Line and depth at DT.

On offense if we can go all in with Marcus Dumervil, Isaiah Walker, Jalen Rivers and Jonathan Denis. That would upgrade our talent to be on a National Championship level.

On Defense Sam Anaele, Chantz Williams, Elijah Roberts, Willie Moise and Jalen Carter as well as Jaeden Phillips would set up our D-Line with top flight talent.

If we want to compete with Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State we have to close with talent like this.

Who would you like to see us finish with on the lines?

Out of the 4 O-line you mentioned I think only Denis comes aboard. Dumervil and Walker are infatuated with the SEC lore. And rivers I don't know because we would have to also close on williams. That being said we can still close on quality south florida guys

As much as I'd love to see us land any and all of those D-linemen, its the O-line I'd like to see turn into an monster class for once.

Who would I like to see us finish with? All 4 of the guys you listed. Dumervil, Walker, Rivers and Denis. Of those 4, it seems like Walker and Denis are probably the 2 we're most likely to land. I want Rivers the most because signing him means we also get Chantz Williams. And then there's Dumervil. I'd like to sign him as well. But everybody at STA is a crap shoot right now. Some of them are with us. Some are salty about the staff change. So no matter what I read I'm not gonna believe we have a shot with him unless/until he's enrolled.

Not sure how realistic that is and I know I’m about to jump way ahead here, but those 4 would go a long way in helping us beat Bama in 2021

I hope Butch Barry is good at his job. We have talent in the O-line room, we just need a coach who can extract that talent and get the most from his players. The Dline will take a step back this year, losing Joe and Willis will hurt.

I think we have a good chance with Denis & Walker. Gotta grab an OOS lineman and maybe Shrader from Venice as another developmental tackle prospect.

We went on that run of offering out of state olinemen a few weeks ago, maybe one or two of them sparks some real interest and ends up in the class. Dumervil is the best guy, but he seems like an Evan Neal type of recruitment by all reports, so I would like to see an OL class of:

Walker
Denis
Rivers
OOS
Late riser (Shrader, etc)

On the DL I actually think the group you put up is reasonable...probably won't get all of them, but that's the dream class, along with Riggins, who I like as an interior disruptor even though I know some on here are down on him for some reason.

I gotta say Denis and Walker probably are the better odds. If Dumerville stays home and one of the Cuban Kid (?), STA Kid or that guard (pancake) would be an excellent local haul. Should the Jacksonville boys come then we really in good shape.

We also still have Garvin & Hill so that minimizes the Joe Jackson loss along with getting back a healthy Rousseau and we thought we were screwed when Mac & Norton left but Willis was a pleasant surprise. Let’s not be so sure we take a step back. Hopefully of the guys we have someone has a breakout year

Not disagreeing with you but losing two potential 1st round picks is hard to replace for any line. Mac and Norton were bottom tier draft prospects.

Just win games and we are in it with everyone. My line for the season is win 10 games n the coastal n we'll be fine.

Must get on each Side is Rivers for OL and Carter for DL.... And since Rivers is a package deal with Chantz we kill 3 birds with 2 stones

Unless we are playing for a Naty, I don’t think we even crack Dumervil’s Top 6. He may throw out a tweet with us in the Top 5 as a courtesy, but really won’t consider us, which sucks. However, I do believe If we win we have a really good shot with the other 3. Add in a one of Shrader, Love, Mawali or Martinez and that would be a phenomenal OL class. Especially considering we would have a really good shot of following that up with a class led by Tate and Big Baby. Two consecutive OL classes like that would be elite.

Let's just start with not losing consecutive games to the Dukes, BCs, GTs, UVAs of the world

DT depth isn’t a big issue now. Nesta, Miller, JHH, Blisset and Holley is a good group of underclassmen.

Obviously you can build on that but OL definitely needs more help everywhere.

Proven DT depth is a problem, any way you cut it. Glad we got the transfer from UCLA, and I hope we can get the absolute best out of him...but Willis is a huge loss in domination at the position.

I love the potential Nesta brings there, but he hasn't done anything yet.

So maybe the bigger problem is the lack of an experienced 2 deep.

All of them!!! Especially the OL guys.

Underclassmen at that position are usually inexperienced because so few if them contribute much early.

I guess there is only two blue chip DT’s in the last two classes, so I was being a bit hopeful. One thing is for sure DL recruiting went way better than OL recruiting in the 2019 class.

We turned the corner on D line recruiting last year IMO. For o line the notion that we have been recruiting terribly isn’t Exaclty true. We have gotten a bunch of 4 stars. Just haven’t been able to develop them. But your point is true.
