Kind of looks like that's the best case scenario barring the unlikely upset over FSU in the title game

I'm not sure if the loser of the ACCCG goes to the Chick-Fil-A game or if the highest rated (or the most likely to sell tickets) team goes instead.

For the most part, I've seen Clemson slotted for the Chick-Fil-A game due to them only having (and most likely keeping) a 1-loss record and Miami (if we were to lose against FSU again) having a 2-loss record. In that case, Miami would most likely play in the Russel Athletic bowl game in Orlando vs. Louisville.

**** that ****. Even if we lose to FSU a second time, we have the opportunity (no guarantees given how inconsistent we are) to be a top 11-12 rated team in the BCS, with, potentially, our only two losses coming to a likely MNC game team.

Clemson may very well lose again as they have to play South Carolina in Columbia.

If we win out and lose in the acccg and Clemson wins out. Clemson will go to a bcs bowl and we will go to atlanta. That's how it will happen and that happens every year in some conferences.

And lets remember..The ONLY reason why Clemson MIGHT end the season with one loss is because they dont have to play FSU again like we would. I dont think its fair that they get rewarded for that IMO.

one of Clemp$on or Miami has a pretty good shot at a BCS game.

the other would likely get the chick fil a bowl, which is one of the best non-BCS bowls.

of course we could easily lose one of our last 4 games, and have no shot at the BCS (could still get the chick fil a bowl IF F$U plays in the MNC)

It'd be nice to get to and beat FSU in the ACC champ game.. squash their national title hopes.. a man can dream.

Little early to be worrying about this. Lots of variables.

Assuming your scenario takes place however, there's still a chance we'd make a BCS bowl. If we were to keep it close against a #2 ranked FSU team and Clemson were to lose to South Carolina, we'd probably remain ranked in the top-10 in the BCS standings with a shot to get picked for a BCS spot. I mean, assuming FSU plays in the Rose for the MNC, if you were the Orange Bowl, would you want to take a flyer on a top-10 ranked Miami team?

Chic-fil-a bowl committee would rather have Clemson - and the Orange Bowl committee would rather have Miami. They think about ticket sales over record.
Here's the logic:
Miami wins out, loses to FSU in ACC Championship game - Miami in OB, FSU in NC game
Clemson wins out, does not play in Championship game - Clemson in CFA bowl

My opinion.

you guys and your "what if" and "when we win out" scenarios. October was a month where we didn't look great with being down double digits to 3 average ACC teams and getting destroyed by the conference powerhouse. VT this weekend will be a lot tougher than most of us expect. "Logan Thomas sucks" fan is besides themselves as he has not played too bad vs this defense that we line up with. Let's get through this weekend first before we start talking about "which bowl" and "when we win out"

2011 - 23/25 - 310 yards - 3 TD's 0 INT's - 2 Rushing TD's
2012 - 19/37 - 199 yards - 0 TD 2 INT's - 22 Rushing Attempts 124 yards 1 TD

Depends on where we end up in the final BCS rankings.

If we're still BCS-eligible at 11-2, I could see us getting selected as an at-large.

I wish I could like this post about 500 more times

Lots of scenarios to play out over the next couple weeks before we will find our Bowl destination......

But...... To stay with the theme of the thread though I would prefer to play in the Russell Athletic Bowl in O-Town before the Sugar Bowl on New Years Eve.....

There has always been a good showing of Hurricane fans for the Orlando games......

Could not disagree w/ you more about the second tier Orlando bowl v. the prestigious Sugar Bowl. It's exceedingly better for the program, and the players to be in the SB.
