Williams growing into offense, working on deep ball

Might as well face reality until the hogs(oline) upfront mature we are gonna have to accept the fact that short passes will be our bread and butter.even the red zone offense won't improve against a decent defense until that happens.doesn't matter how good your qb and receivers are can't throw a deep pass if the ball has to be thrown within 2.5 seconds or less.

Ppl on here complaining abt explosive passes when we couldnt even complete a forward pass last year. Patience

We aren't scoring much in the red zone because:

1) The playcalling has been really unimaginative in the red zone. Overall, Enos called good plays on offense against UNC...but the playcalling was quite unimaginative in the red zone (sequences like run, run, run) when we could be throwing to our taller TE & WRs who have a major height advantage over smaller DBs. Enos needs to have better plays designed for the red zone.

2) The play of the OL

3) Jarren is very good but still maturing as a starting QB

4) We've had too many drops in the red zone (by WR & TE)

5) Chip shot FGs are a major challenge for us

I think #1 above has been the biggest reason. Overall, I'm a fan of Enos but he needs to use the assets available to him better & win some plays by design (especially in the red zone) as opposed to lacking imagination & being too conservative at times.

Dropped passes and a run called back for holding. 4 tds missed because of bad execution and not play calling. Not saying play calls have been perfect in redzone but not as bad as some insinuate.

That's not all on the QB... he led em down the field to take the lead and put us in FG range the last drive! Not his fault 85 dropped a 2pt conversion, defense can't get a stop on 4th and 17, and kicker missed FG. Be smarter than that

Anyone who somehow thinks Jarren has been the biggest part of the answer, doesn't even understand the question.
