Will Brad Kaaya come in and start?

I favor the guy that can read defences, distributes the ball and picks up first downs. If that guy turns out to be Isaac Hoza good for him. If it turns out that Williams heals in time to begin the season that's great.

I like the notion that the job is open to competition. This isn't like going to the paddock and picking out the horse you think looks good.

Dmoney, chances Ryan Williams ever takes a snap in a game here again?

I'd be lying if I said I knew. The plan right now is to get the young guys ready. One of them is starting against Louisville.

No. Kaaya is good, going to be really good, but you guys have put him on a undeserved pedestal IMO. If he was an EE, I could see it.

D$. From your info and opinion. Who's your $ on to start

Two of these guys haven't even taken a practice snap yet, so it's all projection. But I believe Kaaya is the most talented of the three and I think Coley agrees.

No reason to go with experience when none of the three have experience. Let the best man win and expedite the development process.

Ho Li Crap.

This is a another fine mess you've gotten us into, Al.

Kosar won our first National Championship as a RS Freshman. But we had Schnellenberger as HC, and one great supporting cast of Coordinators.

We got Al. Dorito. And Coley.

For three years, I've been dying to see one indication of good coaching. Just one. Then we played Louisville.

It's enough to make a grown man weep.

I'm ready to ride with HBK.

Overall I think there was ore hype around Olsen from most users. Our writers seem to have felt more comfortable with Kaaya. I heard a lot of great things so I guess we will see.

Whoever won't crap the bed when the lights come on. Eager to hear what Kaaya and Rozier do in Fall camp. Holding out hope Olsen was just rusty during the Spring game.

Seriously?

How many classes/years does one need to have a team?

You got freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and then seniors. In four years, that's an entire cycle.

At some point, if it's not the horse(s), and it's not the saddle(s), then that leaves the jockey.

I agree, but in fairness, Howard was in his 4th or 5th year I think. Howard was the best coach we ever had or will probably ever have. What a resume. If he were only young again.

I'm with this line of thought

Me too. The problem is that I have more confidence in any of the QB's than I do the staff ability to pick the right one and use him well. It is unacceptable that Olsen is not more prepared than he is. We need a QB coach. Someone that would have been on his rear all year. This was way to important to leave in the hands of the kid himself. Not only did we throw away the Coastal sticking with Morris last year, we also waste all the practice throws on him when Olsen could have been forced to be more engaged as the next man up behind Williams. Maybe the kid is just a slacker, but with a father who is a coach and alum brother in NFL, I surely would have beat on every drum I could find before I let him get to this point and not be ready.

As long as Olsen doesnt look like a dear in headlights like the scrimmage game,im going Olsen only because Golden may feel he deserves at least 1 game before he transfers and they turn the keys to Kayaa.

All three guys are freshman. Olsen is a redshirt freshman but he's never played in a game.

Pick the guy with the most physical and mental talent and let him take his lumps. Whoever it is.

I agree with this, whomever it is going to take some lumps and needs to be strong enough mentally to handle it.
