We seem stacked at wr, making me wonder "so what if we didn't get a stud?"
Then I took a closer look, thinking beyond 2013 in particular.

Dorsett -- Very good but spotty. And if he does have a strong '13, he could be gone.
Scott -- Discipline issues
Lewis -- Promising but coming off an injury.
Lockhart -- Promising but coming off an injury.
Waters -- Promising but we only saw glimpses
Hurns -- Good but gone after '13
Jones -- Unproven
Carter -- Unproven

Not a terrible situation at all but still a little shaky.

We are in good position for Rudolph and Lane next year, and we took a big group last year. Losing AJL hurts, but a guy like Coley or Strong is a luxury this year in a small class. We certainly have more pressing needs elsewhere.

The stud came at TE in Sandland, his presence alone will elevate all of the receivers game

This is all you need to know.......

Safeties are gonna have to worry about beau and Clive in the middle now, leaving our wrs open. The threat alone should help our wrs. If they want to leave the middle open and help the cb on the outside, beau will open over the middle.

IMO you take a game changer like Coley or you pass on WR especially in a small class.

FWIW I don't see the WR in 2013 as shaky at all. Thought the WRs were pretty good in 2012 and will all have one more year under their belt. I expect we will see a little more consistency next year.

OP is right. Morris' most impressive feat in throwing for 3300 yards last season was that no one caught the ball.

We are going to be ok on offense. Wat we need is a strong, fast defensive line. We will average at least 35 ppg next year.

I think it's safe to say you saw enough out of Waters and Lewis to know they'll be solid contributors in the future. I'll add, it takes an absolute dumpster-fire of recruiting to not have solid skill positions at UM.

I don't think it will be an issue moving forward.

We need to get at least one this year. In 2008 we took a huge class and then struck out on **** near every WR in the following years. Next thing you know we had walk-ons playing a ton in the spring. Gotta keep brining in studs every year.

Dorsett is not turning pro after his junior year. Our WR will be fine and with Sandland and Walford's emergence, you will see a lot of two tight end sets in passing situations.

No, but we don't need a jag this year at wr. Lane and these other cats may be able to play some as true freshmen. Lane especially.
Not worried about wr.

What I like is that Golden is making sure we're prepared for worse-case scenarios, even at a position of relative strength.
