You said it yourself. D'Onfrio is weaker than Petrino. Coley hasn't done enough to be considered stronger than Grantham. 3rd down efficiency will define him this year as he was putrid at it last year. One of the main reasons our defense was on the field so much. Quick strike scores are great but sustaining drives and keeping our weakness off the field (defense) is the way he should have adjusted last year. We saw, vertical on 1st down, stretch play on 2nd and didn't convert on 3rd way too much last year. Coley's development as an OC is the underrated wild card that isn't being talked about enough

Louisville is the least of all worries. We've been witness to the worst defence in program history for the past few seasons. Folks are more hopeful than scared, if not hopeful, than resigned to the pattern continuing.

Agreed. We were a horrific time of possession team last year. HORRIBLE. We averaged what, 26 minute a game, TOP? The other team, 34???That has to improve, drastically. Having the other team on the field so much longer really wears down a D. Especially one that's young and not very deep. This is the number one cause of poor defensive rankings. Seriously, 8 minutes less time of possession. Let that sink in. If we can even get that to an even 30/30 it is a huge win for the D. We're older, deeper, stronger on D this year than last, AND we should be on the field less. That would equal a huge jump in the rankings, regardless of what we think of Coach D.

Perhaps due to the fact that every Johnny no name QB from No Offense U has gone Tecmo Bowl on our *** in recent years. Throw in a HC who is light years better offensively than any other HC we face, yes better than Jumbo, and you should begin to understand why many are concerned. People also tend to forget they should have one **** of a rushing attack, possibly the best backfield in the country when you factor in Dyer if he's in Auburn form.

Special teams will be the difference. Duke (KR) and Coley (KR/PR) have got to get loose, at the very least affect field position.

Scared of louisville?

[]_[] already know. . .

l-ville lost a ton of talent too.

The big difference they got a proven coach and acutally play D. They dont have that its ok to lose attitude that our coaches try to poison them with. We will see what kind of team Miami is the first game and the good thing AG want be able to hide behind that record by sugar coating a schedule full of cream puffs

We are not scared of loserville. We are scared of our coaching staff. However, if the huge increase in talent evident this year proves that our coaches were not to blame, then loserville is in for a very rough butt kicking.

The louisville game is a very simple answered. they were more talented and out played us from the beginning. They hit us hard. they were consistent on offense mixing it up and we were missing coverages, tackles, missing blocks.

we looked like an FCS team playing them in the bowl game. i was there live so i seen first hand what was going on.

Morris never threw in the middle of the wide open field. was running for his life and scared to stay in the pocket because they kept slanting and standing up their lineman. Louisville look like a team that was hungry.

I still got Nightmares from Brigdewater slashing his throat after that touchdown.

We are a completely different team this year from top to bottom. we are going to beat Louisville no doubt in my mind.
