Why no to Njoku?

Only a fool would bet against the Njoku bloodline.

Njoku who was given the title Chief David Njoku by his father was born the seventh of nine children, five girls and four boys.
The eldest son, Innocent Jr. is a neurosurgeon in upstate New York having finishing medical school at Cornell, Chelsea is a nurse in New Jersey, Faith is in medical school, Gladys was good at hops at the Division III level and has a mechanical engineering degree. His younger brother, a 6-6, 196-pound athlete, Evidence plays college football at the University of Miami on an athletic scholarship. The youngest of the clan, Charles, a class of 2019 Wayne Hill wide receiver has already got an offer from Rutgers University (David also received offers from the college before ultimately chose Miami)

Nice player, may be that he does not want to follow in his brother's footsteps. Do not write off Evidence, will end up a nice player. Has great length and is a good athlete at this level. Needs some time.

Tre’Von Morgan is the guy to target. Just committed to Michigan State but has always wanted a Miami offer.

This is what makes me mad. If we can take a sixth QB because he will "help the scout team" why can't we take a guy who just might be better than his NFL brother?

D. Wade of the Heat said that Dorrell Wright was a better athlete than he was at the time that the Heat drafted Wright. One is a hall of famer. The other was a fringe player. Just cause the elder Njoku's say that he's better really doesn't mean anything

We have several kids that were walk-ons that will never see the field except for the scout team and were given a scholarship. Charles has major upside and potential and we can't find room makes zero sense.

That's because 1 has nothing to do with the other.

If a kid has been on the team for 2 seasons like Few, you can put him on scholly and he DOES NOT count against the yearly 25 man initial counter limit, only the 85 max. The 85 max isnt the issue, the 25 limit (27 for us in 2019)

Right now, we only have 6 initial counters left for 2019 for recruits/transfers (Few/Murphy dont count), so tell me how you fit Njoku in? Seems like QB, DE, 2 DT (UCLA GT + Hunte), and DB are priorities. That leaves 1 spot, and I'd save that for a GT OL if I were Manny.

I like Njoku, but we have 9-10 WRs and I just dont see where there's a spot for him

The 85 max is the problem this year.

He could turn out to be another bust like Chelsea.

not really, dont have to be at 85 until Summer. We'll have at least 3-4 more guys leave during/after Spring. Bama, for example, is going to be at 91-92 after NSD, then they'll cut it down to 85, as Saban always does.

the 25 initial counter limit is something we dont have leeway with. There's 6 spots left.

so again, where do people see Njoku fitting into 1 of those 6, given our other needs?

Mistake not to take him. Don't care about numbers. He needs to be down here

Dumb quote of the day
Technically speaking, it was yesyerday, and I don't remember actually writing "Dumb quote of the day". You weren't trying to call my statement dumb and then not use the quote function properly, were you? Bc that would be most ironic. 😂

Anyway, it's simply opinion. This kid's recruitment is starting to blow up. He will be a player at the next level and hes ours for the taking. I want him. Im not as sold on our WR room as others are.

But his brothers say he is the best Njoku. Obviously they have no bias and are not just trying to get their bro a scholly. Their word should be taken at face value.

Hey, the baby is always the best. See parents keep trying until they get the right one. Don’t go jumping to conclusions about me being the baby. That’s got nothing to do with my statement.

At least offer the kid as a walk on and tell big brother he will get the next ship that opens up. It isn’t rocket science.
