This is a business and when it comes to firing folks under contracts facts is all they work with....


Coach D....

Defense improved...FACT ( schedules do not matter) 2012 120th....2013 91st using CFB stats Total D...

Sacks 2012 115th 2013 41st

Interceptions 2012 65th....2013 11th

Fumbles recovered 2012 53rd 2013 51st

Fumbles forced 2012 41st 2013 15th...

Yards allowed 2012 5800 ( 12 games) 2013 5500 yards 13 games

Scoring D 2012 83rd 2013 66 again 13 games


recruiting....Coach D has been leading he coaches in top guys...

Graduation rates??? I understand all the seniors have their degrees...

off field issues...who was suspended on the D this year since play started




I am just posting facts why we all have to sit here and hold our breath until next Sept when we kick off as him our D coach....

Go on CFB stats and check the progress of our defense in conference play only and then come back to me. This defense is the biggest joke in the ACC

Dead last in total defense in the ACC in 2013 in conference play. Improvement huh?

13/14 in rush defense.

13/14 in pass defense.

Embarrassing. We got worse.

91 is better than 120...if you can count...I did not make up the numbers simply posting them to show why he stays and we continue to suck at d...next year we aim for 81 or **** even 75th.....

That is true....
 
I think you need an elementary lesson on fact vs. opinion. Seeing a few stats drop does not mean that the defense was better. You could make a very good argument for the defense being worse with less youth and more experience in year 3.

You can't really rely on these numbers being a reliable barometer because quality and strength of opponents from last year to this year vary.

Rd745 has the right idea that looking at conference opponents from last year and this year will provide a clearer picture of this defense, and it ain't Mona Lisa!

in the ACC we are dead last in almost every category .....but also folks on here will see that DUKE was a decent and better team we cant have that
