Why Miami Missed on Recruits--Herald--for what its worth

Smoke and mirrors. They were never coming.

We were a courtesy suitor only just to pacify Richt and Rumph.

Never any legit interest in us.
 
Pat Surtain Sr can't shut his f*cking mouth. Don't talk about or to Canes fans, toughguy. He should just focus on learning all the racial slurs required to communicate with the fanbase in Tuscaloosy.

This was interesting from Rumph- "The kids aren’t the same as they used to be. The game has totally changed."

Not an excuse for his failings on this front but does seem to cast a little doubt on how "clean" the recruitment of all of these kids was- as did Doherty's remark.

Did I mention that Pat Surtain Sr can go eff himself? Gawd, I actually do hope LSU ends up beating Bama while his Patty Jr is there.

Listen I'm very disappointed not to get at least one of the Big Time corners. I want blame Rumph. We have seen this movie many times. Those boys wanted out of the State of Florida. Plain and simple.

Rumph needs to shut up and do his job. He basically said the AH kids did not believe they could win here. Well it is your job to show them they can. It is called recruiting.
 
I dont think GA is so much bag man it happoened to be a year where the state of Georgia had a ridiculously high number of top prosp[ects (too many in my opinion), they only got 1 guy we were recruiting

Let's think about this y'all seriously. Bama biggest need was db right? Jobe was verbal to us since last year maybe longer right and after seeing bama it was all bama. Be honest with urself and we know what really happened. Ps2 was a lsu verbal not us since longer then jobe if I'm not mistaken. He goes down there and comeback it's all bama. Come on now it's thier biggest need two recruits gave verbal to different schools (some would say its thier dream school)and both did the samething🤔. Then uga on the last play of the chip a corner some feel cost them. The coach comes from bama so he know what has to be done to beat bama and our coach is the old coach there. Y'all know that there was no way the boosters over there was going to lose this one to DA U knowing who is our coach it was personal. Coach Satan remember what happen to him with Hall underestimating us so you know he wasn't taking any chances.What's y'all opinion on this? Will we start winning these battles once we are consistently in the Acc championship and playoffs or no matter what it's going to be dam near impossible to constantly win those battles when we know it's a must get for those schools.

I give our class an A- if we would have landed Campbell or PS2 and Chatman then A+ but still great class and will have big impact due to how many guys are already on campus
 
To me it sounded like he was saying the kids are not built the same way as in the past. The older canes always talked about beating the other big time programs and building the hometown team. Both tyson and surtain jr said they wanted to go to a team that was already winning and playing in championships. They preferred to join the enemy just to win easy instead of building and putting on for the home team. That's different from when Rumph was a recruit. That's what it sounded like Rumph was saying to me.
 
Getting blown by Clemson and losing at the OB is reason we don’t have them....

he is saying kids are front runners. add that to the wilson family poisoning the well and it worked out bad.

whats weird to me is how 4 kids who had so much success in hs all went to different schools.
