Why Is Dorito Still Employed

Along with his bad coaching, it doesn't help being an ******* whom non of the players like!

Because I maintain that the "scheme" is really not "broken." It's a conscious decision to play that way because our coaches have a certain philosophy. This is the scheme that executes that philosophy with the players we have. What needs to change is the philosophy. The scheme will probably change with it, but I still believe these guys are consciously making a decision to play this way right now. I don't think they would have ever imagined it led to the results against Duke. You can kinda see it in Golden's shellshocked demeanor.

Lu, we can change coordinators and I hope we do but is it realistic to expect a change in philosophy?

Also, what do you see as being the best case scenario going forward given the current circumstances? I'll hang up and listen. Thanks.

Not a **** clue. I'm concerned this time around because we're not letting Al Golden go and that defense is only an extension of what he's shown as his philosophy or general approach. He can let go of his buddy D'Ono, which will likely be rough for him, but will he alter the philosophy that defense (and many of our decisions) is predicated on? Those are questions to ask him. First by our AD. Then to himself. Finally, by our media.

Best case scenario going forward is that Coach Golden is as practical as he's let on. He has some kind of "come to Jesus" moment and realizes he needs to blend in some aggression and some proactivity - as it relates to the on-the-field stuff, not just off-the-field stuff - with the other stuff he believes is in that binder's formula (foundation).

Al Golden and Dorito think they are untouchable b/c they stayed around during the NCAA mess

I think those two **** thought that 4 weeks ago. Amazing what a difference a month can make. I really don't think golden knew the fan base was gonna turn especially after the banner thanking him lulz. He probably thought we were gonna sit silently like most did last season. That VT game was the final straw though. People just couldn't watch that defense anymore. The Duke game only reaffirmed what everyone was angry about and now he has to fire Dorito. Pretty amazing turn of events

The fact that Golden has the nuts to keep making excuses like losing to Duke is normal is just arrogance at it's finest.

The fact that he didnt fire Dorito that same night Duke kicked our ***, just proves that Golden is incompetent and not Head Coach material.

If his defensive coordinator was not his best friend he would have fired him after last season. Golden failed to take responsibility and now he finds himself in an even worse situation than he ever imagined
