Why is a Coastal Division title the goal of UM football?

One of our goals every year.
Can't win the Natty without winning the ACC.
Cant win the ACC without winning the Coastal.

UNC beat FSU, no?
Maybe FSU should start rethinking it's goals and focus on doing something they haven't done in a couple of years. Win the Atlantic.

I see so many fans assume that the reason we aren't more successful is because fan expectations are so low. In reality, unrealistically high expectations lead to low fan turnout. Does anyone else remember when the Dolphins got their playoff game blacked out due to low attendance? It's because fans didn't care enough to attend because they knew the team wasn't going to win a Super Bowl that year. Meanwhile, look at other school attendance. Entitlement is the culture of S. Fl.

I remember one playoff game in the early 1980s where the local supermarket chains bought the required number of tickets so the
blackout would not happen.
Yet I recall fans calling into local sports radio complaining about the Fins' owner stating that blackout would not be lifted if
the tickets weren't sold.
Pathetic fan base in soFla.
Always been that way.

That's what I read so often on here- the "goal" of winning the Coastal. Why not at least have a goal of winning the ACC? So exciting- the idea of winning a crappy 7 team division.

need to start somewhere. personally I think the ceiling is the Coastal for now, and we have along ways to go to even get there. There is a reason Richt is here and not UGA, not expecting much until the next regime takes over.

It's not "the" goal, it's "a" goal.
"The" goal is winning a national championship. But I invite you to explain how we can do that without winning the Coastal.
