Why I'm not concerned about our offensive scheme...yet

I'm never overly concerned or happy after one game but I can't just throw this out. One of my problems with the idea that we couldnt go downfield was that we could. When morris threw intermediate or deep routes he hit hurns once, hit scott once (drop), and we were close on that dorsett play. So clearly we could get to that stuff. I think we went short because we wanted to. Now pOint 2 is that I think college offenses are limited in what they can do so it's a bit hard for me to expect a large overhaul in a week. I guess we'll see but I think we'll see quite a bit of the same stuff obviously with some new stuff put in as well. I find an identity change hard to conceive.

Maybe they didnt trust Morris throwing in between all those linebackers consistently. They exposed the weakness of bc's defense -lack of depth @ corner.

What you saw against BC will be our offense all season. Of course the coaches will try to keep somewhat of a competitive advantage by not saying "This is our offense" Got to keep KSU second guessing as they prepare for us.

Let's keep it real. We have unproductive tight ends, undersized wide outs and undersized running backs.

Out side of Scott our wideouts are 5'10 and 5'9 respectively. Mike James is not a big back himself and out side of James our running backs are 5'10 190 lbs (Clements), 5'9 180 lbs (Duke), and 5'8 175 lbs (Crawford)

Our starting tight end is Dye and he is not a receiving threat at all. With unproductive tight ends to go along with under sized wideouts and running backs, a pro-set play action is not something we could thrive in.

Putting our quick and undersized guys in space to make moves is ideal for this group.

Fisch is young. He's experimenting and obviously enjoying setting the chess board. I think it explains his tendency to get cute.
