Why Have we not been able to Develop good QB's?

We've had two consecutive really bad coaching hires. One of the signs of a failing head coach is the inability to get quality assistants to work for you. Look at Coker; He was such a simpleton that no one of any creativity would work for him for more than a year. Randy was the same way.

Because we haven't recruited any good QBs.

You thuink Morris or Harris would have developed into good QBs at FSU? No, they would have developed into transfers or 3rd string career backups.

But we ***** up on evaluations and recruiting, and we get stuck with these guys starting foir season after awful season.
 
Miami hasn't developed much of anything in a long time because of **** poor recruiting and development. Golden was handed a dumpster fire with NCAA sanctions looming over it. The dumpster fire have finally been put out and the NCAA mess is over. Now it's time to continue rebuilding and developing. Miami will be very good under Golden real soon. Our fans will always suck.

It's mostly the O-coordinator and QB coach who develop QB's. Shannon is a defensive coach so he has nothing to do with QB's; try again.

The HC picks his Position Coaches and Coordinators. He is responsible as s.hit always flows to the top.
 
constant turnover, terrible programs, and level of talent that Miami has been bringing in are the main problems.

Regardless Stephen Morris is a good QB, and has been developed very well from when he first came in as a lowly regarded 3 star prospect.
 
Al def has to go find a qb coach after this season. Someone that can take the young guys we have and get them ready. Coley has enough on his mind learning how to call plays. He doesn't have time to fix qbs

Have you seen our HC, and OC from the departure of Davis, and Chud, to Golden, and Fisch/Coley?

Coker/Chud*/Werner/Olson

Randy/Nix/Whipple

Who knows what Wright might have turned into. Dude had the curse of Werner, Olson, and Nix as OC. Also Coker, and Randy as HC.

Marve and Harris both could have been way better under the current staff. **** the one year under Fisch. Harris was a pretty decent QB. Think of 4 to 5 years what he would have looked like.

Morris has the all the physical tools you could want, but for some reason he just can't put it together on game day.

Things are turning around. We are getting better prospects, and we have a OC that has had his hands in on 2 1st round picks, and he had a little something to do with Winston.

what? James Coley is one of the best QB coaches in CFB????

it's his 1st year w/ this team, whoever he has his hands on longer will be a better QB then where they were before.
 
I didn't say he can't coach the qbs. He just has no time, he is learning on the job as OC. And it shows. The qbs need full attention. At this point it can't hurt

Bad coaching, constant turnover in the playbook, and terrible recruiting.

By terrible recruiting I don't just mean talent, I mean numbers. Coker and Radio didn't recruit enough QBs. They went out and got one they thought was good and then didn't bother adding any more.
 
Our last 2 QBs dont have it between the ears. They cant read defenses at all. This is so painfully obvious. Neither are leaders or communicators. I never see them talk with their teammates or OC during games for feedback. QB is a lot mental.
 
We've only brought in three highly rated kids in this time frame.

Kyle Wright, Robert Marve, Jacory Harris

I think Harris was a 3 star on some sites.

Then those guys played under awful coaching staffs and ****** coordinators. We never stood a chance.
