Why does a recruit's star rank drop when they pick Miami?

Seriously, people have hated Miami since we rose to national prominence. The swagger, the trash talk......CFB wasn't used to that.

Here's one example:

Miami led 19-3 at halftime, but put the game out of reach with two touchdowns within five minutes in the third quarter. The Hurricanes also set Cotton Bowl and school records for most penalties (15) and most penalty yards (202) in a single game, many of which were for unsportsmanlike conduct. Partly as a result of controversy from this game, the NCAA instituted a new rule stipulating that excessive celebration would be a 15-yard penalty.[1]

Remember 247 saying they base it off their projected draft position in the future. They didn’t trust our development, not no more though 🤫
I think someone in the know reiterated this about lack of development. Can you really blame them with what we've had for coaches until now?

Mauigoa’s ranking hasn’t dropped. Take the tin foil hat off.

That being said, everyone hates us. We know this. We embrace it. If you don’t actually enjoy it, get the fvck out of my fanbase. This is why we are who we are. I hope “they” drop every kid we recruit to a 0-star. It’ll be that much sweeter when we run an Amtrak train right through everyone’s **** pipe the next few years.

I cannot emphasize this enough:

We. Don’t. Care. About. Anything. But. This. U.

If you are bothered by it, or honestly if you want it any other way, go somewhere else.
